Ape Escape 3 font change (Japanese PSN Ps3 version)

By complete accident, I managed to change (or overlap) a font, which I haven't seen documented any where, or at least isn't very known.
This was done with the japanese Playstation Network Playstation 3-version, only available in Japan. I haven't tested other versions of the game.
Instructions how to execute this:
1) Type either Satoru or Sayaka as a filename
2) Pick the character you wrote to the filename
3) Catch the first monkey
4) After spawning to the main lobby, quit to main menu.
Now the font has been changed to chunkier/bulkier version. As far as I know, it doesn't change other fonts in the game, and it is revertible.

I think this must be related to font registering issue with Japanese font
