Essentially a close copy to the Monoprice Monolith amps. Flip a coin. I'd side with the Monoliths since they are made by ATI whom are a highly regarded manufacturer of amplifiers.

Hi Jason, first of all, hope all is well and you're enjoying your new job...Thanks for introducing me to such great 2 channel gear & speakers...recently the Opera Callas standmonts...they sound great...I did get a pair of the epicon 2 to replace my rubicon 2...the new epicons purchased as brand new demos for half price...not broke in...sound great and match well with my setup....think i'm locked in now for a while...have a great day!😁

I really don't know who actually designed these devices. It seems like a "global" product made available to brand holders looking for ready-to-go package solutions offered by PRC based engineering shops - which will also provide services like brand related customizing. In Europe e/g these components are sold under the Iotavx brand based in Britain (company registered: IOTA ENTERPRISES Ltd.). Aperion Audio's Energy E2 in Europe goes as "Iotavx AVXP 2-840" with a slightly modified (carrying the backlit Iotavx Logo) front plate and identical internals.

I don't necessarily agree with your analysis but you can't find a cheap amplifier that competes with a more expensive brand just take Wharfedale pro CPD 4800 600£ or CPD 1600 340£ try one out! Especially set up as a monoblock bridged the 4800 has a transformer size of a cereal bowl being 4,800 watts bridged H power supply to ab output.

A comparison with equally (or less) priced integrated amplifiers ($1400) would be more helpful.

Soundstage....depth of soundstage.....instrument separation is not influenced by a power amp. Yes, bass will be affected since each amp has a certain amount of grip on drivers. All that comes from....the recording itself...the room..speaker placement.. speakers themselves...and the source. What is the duty of a power amp? To amplify the signal and move cones in a speaker. That is all.
