Im currently running these. If I could go back this would be one of my first mods! Also advise anyone not in a Rubi to get a set as well. In my opinion they have an advantage over the Anti-rock because of being able to go back to completely locking the sway bars. At highway speeds I hear the Anti-rocks do tend to be a little "loose". I know of a few friends that have made the switch. Great video as always! keep em coming.

This is a great review. The product is new to me, as I just learned of it a few days ago, and I'm as blown away as you probably were when you first saw it. I want this to fit my super duty axles. Since I have to get out to twist the hubs anyway, a twist of the Lynx would be just as easy. In addition to the full release, another benefit of this is the ability to test different bar heights to experiment with ride quality over different terrain. Also, in my case, I will be adding a fully custom rear sway bar system and these disconnects will be perfect for that too. One of the most impressive automotive products I've seen in a long time.

Great product and review! I do have a question. Do you think it’s necessary to reconnect them for higher speed travel on rutted dirt roads? Like the kind they designed the Mojave for? Or should you keep it disconnected? Also, it looks like it works disconnected by keeping the sway bar up high. What exactly does it do when you reconnect it? Does the sway bar still stay in the same location?
@CoddiwompleOverland
@CoddiwompleOverland Жыл бұрын
It is a good idea to reconnect at higher speeds because of increased control. But that being said, it depends on what you call high speed off road. When the swaybar is reconnected, it travels up and down with the axle as it is designed to do.

Very cool. I prefer the button though. I like to keep my sway bar connected when side hilling and it’s just stupid easy. Might do a pneumatic conversion on it to unlock under bind in the future.

The rubicon sway bar will fail , not if but when , then u will need no limits manual knob , then the locking collar inside the sway bar has splines and they wear down or will rust and it will never unlock , or never lock again even manually, I've taken to many apart to find that same problem, then u gotta buy whole new and that's 2k+ from dealer

@@KTMcaptain u obviously don't have a damn clue dude, I built my rig myself. Nobody touches it , and I do ALL the mechanic work for our jeep group, it has nothin to do with push button electric or pneumatic, it's the piece of shit gears inside , so unless u have had a half dozen or so busted open to try repair to get 1 more trip out of it, just sit back and watch and learn , I've been workin on this shit and wheelin for last 25 + years. So don't get on the internet and look like a fool for the world to see u talk about something that u heard somebody talk about once upon a time , it's a proven fact over and over and over that removing rear sway bar gives you less flex , it does NOT matter where the damn thing is mounted, o but ur that guy on the internet that's 1 in a million where u get extra foot of travel now I guess. @@CoddiwompleOverland Have them installed now! Work great disconnected. But I get a knock on the passenger side when locked when going over a speed bump etc. The passenger side I can just push down the sway bar to lock, when the driver side needs a rock of the truck to get down. @@CoddiwompleOverland ya it is. Many people I know are running without the sway bar on our gladiator. In fact. I am rt now becpuse gladiator swaybars are in a terrible location. @@CoddiwompleOverland it's totally different with a gladiator. Jeep put the swaybar in a poor location. They are getting torn off and bent. Hence why antirock made a swaybar that allows flex and it located up and away from the axle. Jl and gladiator are completely different in the rear. You can't compare the two. They even crawl different and take different lines. I have a jl. Tj, and gladiator. All different
@boatsandjeeps780
@boatsandjeeps780 Жыл бұрын
@Coddiwomple Overland I completely agree , no matter where the sway bar is located in the rear , unhooking it you will have less flex , tested and proven time and time again , but I guess some people know something we don't 😆 the factory rear jk and jl sway bar is just about perfect wether u have antirock, autolynx, or just quick disconnects , even antirocks front and rear , I believe limits the flex a little bit more than unhooked in front and stock in rear. But I'm seriously thinking about getting these apex lynx, just wondering how many people have bent the piston shaft , it looks small
