Great work Brian! Advice to smokers: I am a heavy chain smoker, but I ensure to never leave the car smelling like cigarettes. I never smoke with air recycling on. Also after I finish smoking, I drive for a min or 2 with my window down to circulate the smoke out if the cabin. I clean my car very regularly, and using an air compressor, I blow the interior weekly or a bit less frequent than that. Never had the problem where my car was clean and yet smelled like an ashtray. Even non-smokers never complained about the smell of my car. Great video Brian! Please keep them coming!

That is a very thorough job I must say Brian! I've never gone quite to those levels, although there is a great smoke grenade we can get here in the UK that does and amazing job. Switch the car on, stick the air on maximum with the recirculate function switched on, set of the grenade, shut up the car and just leave it for 45 minutes. It gets absolutely everywhere, even inside the door cards and kills bacteria, viruses, mould and deodorises aswell. Had to use it once on a used car I bought.

I'd love to see a dedicated video on cleaning and disinfecting the duct work, what products and how often they should be cleaned..
@joevanseeters28733 жыл бұрын
I do know some people inject steam into the duct work to try and kill bacteria, although some others say not to do that because moisture in that area is a bad thing. I have done it with a good quality steamer with some success but again, for some detailers it's a no no. I know a couple others who have had very good results with Nextzett KLIMA cleaner. It is a spray product you inject far down into the duct work and it removes bacteria and odor causing sources in the air conditioning system. It comes with a tube you can slide all the way down into the duct work and effectively get down far into the system.
@joevanseeters28733 жыл бұрын
That steamer looks AWESOME! I would love to have one of those Chief steamers, especially the model you show here that injects the cleaner into the steam and has those large external tanks so you don't have to refill so often, and the volume of steam that machine produces looks like some of the best I have ever seen. That machine looks like the Ferarri of steamers! Definitely on my wish list along with a Kranzle 1122TST pressure washer! That was a very interesting product that you injected into the duct work that is similar to the cleaner for CPAP machines. Never seen that done before. Might be something that could be marketed for detailing purposes? Great video sir. Love these instructional videos that go a little more in depth on how to actually perform a task. This was an excellent video. Really good information and thanks for outlining what products you used. These seem to be very useful and more importantly EFFECTIVE products!

How long to you keep the ozone machine running inside the sealed car?
@apexdetail853 жыл бұрын
Depends on the size and strength of the machine. Also the size of the area being treated.
@slidetek3 жыл бұрын
I have the Energen machine, been using for 3 years. It will do a seriously smoked out medium 20x15x10 room in around 24 hours. All smoke, pet odors, mildew - you name it, gone. For a car, you could almost leave it in a sealed garage with windows down (I've done this). For bad smoke, I'd probably run it in short spurts. Like 2 hours - wait and check. Lather, rinse, repeat. Because that little unit is pretty strong for such a small confined space. I guarantee though, it _will_ 100% solve it, and in under 24 hours. Just make sure you've removed mats, opened consoles etc., because air flow is important. Since it oxidizes all organic matter, care should be exercised. If you run in garage, every spider will be dead.

@@Vanlifecrisis I don’t do it, but if you want evidence you can find it on a Jim White video from White Details. Anyway if you can inflict wash maring from a sponge what will a hard plastic hose do, doesn’t take a genius to work out.
