This is one of the best explanations I have seen. I think that is so crazy of the acronym matches with the inventor's name.

APGAR Scoring System Q001. A 29 year old G3P2 woman comes to the community hospital for delivery. She undergoes a cesarean section and delivers an 8lb 6oz baby boy. You are asked to evaluate the child after 1 minute. A towel is used to vigorously clean the newborn and in response the boy cries forcefully for 9 seconds. Upon inspection, the newborn has a pink chest, bluish arms, and blue legs. You auscultate a heart rate of 120 beats per minute. While evaluating the newborn, you notice he has flexes his arms and legs twice in a span of 20 seconds. What is the appropriate APGAR score for this newborn child? · 2 · 4 · 6 · 8 · 10 To see the answer, please visit medschoolmadeeasy.weebly.com

Shouldn't the 1 and 2 be switched around on the Pulse page?

+Jeremiah Ermi in dark-skinned patients, cyanosis may present as gray or whitish (not bluish) skin around the mouth, and the conjunctiva may appear gray or bluish.
