The APGC is excited to announce a new addition to our seminar series: ‘Conducting Life Cycle Assessments with Vertical Farms’. On Thursday 28 March we welcomed Michael Martin, Senior Researcher and Professor of Sustainable Production and Consumption, at the IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, who will be leading this enlightening session.
Talk Overview:
Michael will provide a review of what LCA is, why it is used, and how it can be used to assess the sustainability of vertical farms. He will share his experience from conducting life cycle assessments with commercial vertical farms, providing results, insights, and knowledge on how to improve their sustainability and circularity.
