Wow. This was so.... Wow. I always feel completely in awe of the niconico users when I come across videos like this. They're so amazing. I mean.. combining kokoro with hetalia? This is beautiful. It kinda changed my take on the relationship of these two. Mind you, I don't ship them, but I like them as brothers. When you look at it like this, Ludwig really does owe his existance to Gilbert, in many ways. They probably don't see eye to eye most of the time, but at the end of the day they're still brothers, and they support each other. The song made me cry even before I understood the lyrics completely (my Japanese isn't all that great). These two are so tragic! T_Tx

I am unsure why but I still prefer this version compared to the original "Kokoro" song. Also, I think the sadder part of this song is the fact that while Preussen was dissolved 'de jure' in 1947, it had been Deutschland's leadership that had dissolved Preussen 'de facto' around 1937 (if I remember history correctly. I could had gotten the year wrong, though).

Actually, it's offically known that Gilbert is living in Ludwig's house now. Many believe that during the cold war, Gilbert represented east Germany who got dragged way by Ivan (Russia) while Ludwig represented west Germany. After the fall of the Berlin wall, the brothers had reunioned and lived together even since.
