His music introduced me to electronic music, and to the notion that, all in all, every music is just music, and there shouldn't be any genre to stay completely away from, because something worth may lie anywhere... even wherewer we're not used to look (or perhaps especially there)!

@dismalrealms3587 I get what you're saying brother, and I appreciate you spreading the word, but I can't help but feel a bit ostentatious undermining the earnest endeavour of the people, even in the name of the Lord. The internet's been stirring up this unfortunate antagonism towards faith that's produced this whole scenario where all parties have become desperately zealous to purge the perceived "bad thing". But everyone is forgetting that by and large the perception that things are bad is a mental one. It's a you and me problem 99% of the time. Ironically though it sounds, if only we build trust and believe in one another's unique God given gifts of intuition and reflection, nature will naturally lend itself to our aid. Because it is only through the pattern of reject and resignation that humanity itself folds, which God revealed himself to us as an antidote for. As has Richard gifted us with a source of spiritual inspiration. However way you look at it, he is a pathfinder, endowed with the faculty to guide us and give us meaning and hope. I don't see how you don't see the analogue. Consecrated though he isn't, he has certainly been blessed to save men, be it the blind, the lost or the blighted. Even if, as you seem to suggest, there isn't the slightest bit of hope that us humble mortals are capable of lifting ourselves out of despair, I will never cease to believe that man has a purpose to fulfill which Richard has been chosen by God to represent. Amen.

1:02:20 - I am hearing 'Mature Raver' for the first time. After listening to Aphex Twin/RDJ for 32 years, I am still constantly amazed by the inventiveness, how unique and imitated he is, and a track that was 'just' used on Soundcloud under a 'secret' name is many levels beyond 99% of electronic artists. A true musical genius of the highest level.

@josiethompson24205 жыл бұрын
Maybe you mean the Newton and Beethoven of Electronic Ambient. Aphex Twin laid the foundations for pretty much all ambient electronic which is more akin to what Newton did for Physics. Einstein came in and broke everything. Stravinsky is probably the orchestral music equivalent of Einstein. I would definitely like to see what that means for ambient electronic music, but tbh I don't think that's AFX.

Weeeigh Jussa Minat, that first song reminds me when I need to take a big crap at a public restroom inside of a dumb hipster restaurant that is somehow just waaaay toooo coo oil for even the hippest hipster in what is now hipster infested downtown L.A. (For example: The entire length of Spring St.) wouldn't dare to step inside cuz he/she just stepped on a giant piece of dog turd that some other dirty hipster didn't want to pick it up because its "way beyond them" attitude they give to a non hipster(me) when I suggest that maybe they should pick their fucking shite up from the sidewalk because I am trying to walk over here!!! It s a fucking suicide mission trying to get off of spring st without taking evasive maneuvers to dodge those turds(hipsters)!! WTF happened to the beloved crack heads and drug dealers that used to roam spring and main sts? Roaming these territories like the might T. Rex's and Spinosauras' of yore. Oh how I miss these kinder and gentler dinosaurs, at least they never gave anyone attitude when they were approached and asked if "they were holding"
