Released in 1994, is the second album by Richard D. James under his Aphex Twin moniker, and is the follow-up of 1992's Selected Ambient Works 85--92. The album peaked at #11 on the UK Albums Chart. It was number 62 on Pitchfork Media's "Top 100 Albums of the 1990s"

when i was still just barely a kid, a friend sent me a zip of aphex twin's entire discography completely unorganized, no album titles, some of the track names missing (or so I thought) and I loaded it onto my ipod. I would put it on shuffle and get overwhelmed by the sheer variety I just had no frame of reference for. so I never really sat down and listened to much. one December night at like 3AM, recently dropped out of college, driving around aimlessly, pulled into my old neighborhood church parking lot to roll one. and as I sat there watching the heavy snowflakes fall through the street lights above the nativity, this song came on. a whole lot of things kinda clicked in my head all at once then.
