Wow so good. Aphrodite may have lots of lovers, but I think her most important love is to love herself - her own body, how it moves, how it smells, how it moves and all the beauty of the scars and forms etc. About 3 weeks ago I was challenged by a kindred soul living on another continent to face my body naked in the mirror and to express my love and gratitude to it. Not easy for me but working on it. This video is so in sync with where I am - thank you - thank you grateful that I get to do this with a strong supportive circle. 🙏🏽💕

This was epic Sabrina 💕 Aphrodite has many loves - to me her greatest love was the love she had for herself, her whole body - its beauty, its smells, it’s curves, it’s scars, it’s folds etc. 3 weeks ago I was challenged by a kindred soul from another continent to stand naked before a mirror and focus on how I love my body and how grateful I am for my physical body - all of it. I have been told when going out to the club/ bar to "tone down my beauty or I will be too intimidating/ don't look too pretty or you will scare the boys away". So why should we work with one particular archetype if the ultimate goal is to integrate all of them? Sorry if that sounds stupid, I'm a beginner and English is not my main language. I noticed that in pagan communities, women tend to identify very strongly with their deity of choice. Isn't it ego-based? I mean, not in the sense that they are showing off or seeking attention, but in the sense that it leads them to put into shadow all the opposite aspects, therefor not integrating them and staying stuck in a fake sense of self (if that makes sense???)

Totally hearing you and loving these inquiries! Ultimately, it is up to you! Archetypal work might not be something you are called to and that is perfectly ok! What I can say for myself is that archetypal work has helped me immensely. It has been extremely beneficial for me to dive into specific parts of self so that they CAN be integrated. So that the shadows, gifts and wisdom can be revealed uncovered and welcomed into the whole. In terms of identifying with a deity being ego based, I cant really speak to that because it is such a nuanced and individual choice! What I can bring is that the ego is the beautiful tool and fuel that we have at our disposal to express our soul through. Our body, our voice, our preferences, our individuality etc. is all our ego and all can be used in alignment to our soul. Hope this brings some clarity and serves! 💗
