I like to watch the cycle of life and death happen on her altar, it's just super symbolic to me. I also draw, spend time in nature for her and light candles in her name. Just a few ideas from my own experiences! Hope this helps! (I feel I bond with her quite a bit over her mythology and just talking over her candle, too) 💗💗

i also worship persephone! i made her the matron of my witch business, i do all my work for her, she enjoys watching me work, i also made her al altar next to my Hecate altar and they get along great ( i asked hecate for permission first.) I leave her cypress leaves, pomogrante seeds, some of the money i make from my products and yes i agree with the vanilla incense! also just singing along to songs about her oor making up short little tunes for her really creats a beautiful energy. I tend to shift how i work with her depending on the time of year, so in the spring and summer i will work all things nature based and abundance based and then in the fall and winter when she goes down to the underworld with hades i work with her and hecate (and hades if he so pleases) on my shadow work, divination, new goals, kitchen witchery etc

@@AliceTheChaosWitch In my late teens and a few times in my 20's I shown a group of at lest nine women how to summon an avatar chanting hE'Kat'E within a circle of three inter locking triangles. For some reason Hecate is kind of piss off with me, she won't tell my .. why .. but it happen a few thousand years ago. First part of the ritual difficulty is draw a circle then draw a triangle around it, then draw three inter locking triangle around the circle, then draw a circle around that. It would be useful to draw a second circle around the large circle for protection spells. Second difficulty is to learn to dance to the three points of a triangle in a circle then do a rotation circle around the inter circle, each group of three chant one syllable of her name. If done correctly her avatar will show up dancing in the inter circle. If you do not have the .. right .. intent or frame of mind, god help you if a Furry shows up. Best to have some protection spells set up. Seen some bad results when a disrespectful person tried a summoning. On the bright side, a single person can pull it off, but ... I manage to summon Mars with the same circle doing a boxing pattern a couple of years before I could get a group of people together to summon Hecate.

I’ve been doing deity work for about five weeks now, and it’s one of the most fulfilling things I’ve ever experienced, especially after 23 years of Christianity I’m still working out what rituals work best for Athena, but I’ve taken to wearing an owl charm necklace whenever I wake up, and ask for her wisdom and courage to help guide me throughout my day. She’s very patient with me, being a baby witch, and she’s been very direct with me when I ask for her advice, and I always feel like I’m going overboard with my thanks whenever I give her offerings 😂

I've started working with Ares. To him I've been devoting the studying and collecting or military items. It's a hobby I've done for a while and now i get to share my joy for these anicent items with him. And ares has witnessed all these wars he's seen them all come and go and i think he appreciates that i take time to remember and honor the soldiers who have fought and died and that i do so without bias. I look at all sides of history and try to understand all sides and i always make it a point to not just honor the soldiers of my Nation but those of others who are serving or who have served and given all for their nations.

I have a question, this is something I've tried finding the answer to online and I can't find much about it, and what I do find is confusing. While doing Deity Worship, I often set out food/drink offerings to the Gods (I am a Norse Pagan if that helps with this), but I am unsure on how to properly dispose of these offerings. Is it ok to consume these offerings afterwards, or is there a better way to dispose of them? I feel throwing them in the trash is very disrespectful, so I avoid doing that. btw, your hair looks awesome
@ChaoticWitchAunt3 жыл бұрын
This is a great question. I often find that it depends on the practitioner! For me, they sit for a week or so, and if they are still edible (like Oreos or wrapped candy) I will consume them with my deities permission. Otherwise, you can put them in the compost or dump them outside! I have put items in the trash that are not compostable with no issue, but like I said it depends on the practitioner!

Interesting video. I don't call myself Christian but I follow the Christian God. Yet lately I feel a connection to Gaia and Brigid. I think it's because I used to practice witchcraft. I don't feel that witchcraft is my path anymore but I am thinking of still honouring the goddess because I still feel that connection to her. I know you can pursue paganism without witchcraft. I'm just trying to work out how that works in practice as I'm finding it hard to find information/ books on that. If yourself or anyone in the comments has any suggestions of websites or books please let me know. I guess this would be christopaganism.

Reconstructionist here! It's very interesting that modern pagans always ovemphasise picking or choosing a "patron deity" to focus on. We're polytheists, meaning we believe in many gods! Old polytheists worshiped many, hundreds even, of gods all at the same time, patron deities were fairly uncommon. They called on and worshiped whichever deity the needed at that particular time. I suspect this is probably Christian/monotheistic baggage.

Thank you very much for this video, I was feeling very insecure about my worship cause I mainly do acts of devotion and I felt like I was bad for not doing more, while I do wanna branch out more with offerings and prayers and such this did make me feel alot better about the ground in which I stand currently, also the part where you mentioned about how they arent gonna pushin you if you make a mistake but ruther try to nudge you into a better direction, thank you, I feel like religious trauma from growing up has made me very scared of how I practice and in turn, Im not as involved as I want to, heck in a way I feel like this video was a nudge towards taking abetter direction, thank you alot for this video, I hope you have a lovely day

I’ve been struggling working with my patron Thoth recently, mostly because I feel blocked up, and this video popped up while I was searching visualization. So I guess I’ll be watching this now.

I'm worshipping Ecate and I feel so honored and grateful, she's such a badass, but sweet at the same time. She wants a drawing made by me, since I draw and paint. Plus, I usually give her offerings daily, just little things but she appreciates it. I prey to her and light a dark candle every night, when she is stronger, since she loves darkness and the night time. Yes, sometimes I fear that she could get angry towards me, but I'm trying to do my best, and she's always been very understanding. She is making me growing a lot, I feel so much centered and stronger. The thing that she appreciates the most though is seeing that I put effort at learning Magick

I do want to say, I’m still researching him and haven’t asked him for anything except to be patient with me while I learn. I have no way of actually setting up a shrine for him now. And I explained that it would be a bit. I have put protections up but I’m gonna add some more before going further just to be doubly sure I’m not being bamboozled

So I've always wondered what to do with the drinks that I offer after I'm done communicating? I can't really leave it out cause I often have to hide away my altar. I know I shouldn't drink it myself but I also feel like it'd be bad practice to just pour it out on the ground before packing the altar away. What should I do with liquids so they are still offered to the deity?
