Finally graduated and wanted you to know how many people are actually learning from you. u have amazing teaching skills, excellent presentation, good humor, btw speed of narration is totally fine, so much content within a short period of time is just what’s needed. Nice review of aplastic anemia! Just wanted to add that sometimes you can get a hypocellular MDS that looks similar to severe aplastic anemia. Usually cell morphology and cytogenetics will help you differentiate the two (hypocellular MDS you would expect more chromosomal abnormalities, aberrant megakaryocytes + megs will be small in appearance), however clinically they can look very similar. Thanks for the video!

So it is low WBC and when blood is diagnosed they should show low in number. But again person can show leukemia. In other words, what will the WBC count be in acute myeloid leukemia and pancytopenia?
@gamerberry24512 жыл бұрын
Good day Sir, so I have a speculation as well as to why MCV is high is aplastic anemia.I’d love to know your thoughts. If MCV= Hematocrit(ht)/[RBC] This would mean that a decrease in [RBC] or increase in Ht should give high values of MCV right? We also know that in aplastic anemia, while Ht might remain the same (since all the other hématopoïetic cells are also affected), [RBC] is definitely low, hence giving high MCV values. Just a speculation, please correct me if I’m wrong😊.Thank you.
@gerryadams22122 жыл бұрын
