For a sick man Andy, you did pretty damn good. You gave 110% even though you yourself weren't even at 100%, something I will commend you for. It is especially hard for someone with as deep and gritty of a voice as Andy's to sing AND scream with a swollen sore throat and he still conquered that shit. Yes, Ashley's mic was too loud in the beginning, but we all know the reason why. So in overall performance, I thought this was pretty damn good despite all the problems they had.

Okay I think the reason that Ashley's mic volume was very high was because Andy wasn't feeling well so they were trying to help him so it wasn't fully on him. I'm not saying it helped or made it worse but I'm pretty sure that was their intentions. Don't be hateful about it. Everybody has there days where they aren't great. He's human.

If you watch the live footage from people's phones, you can hear Andy's mic well over Ashley's mic. You can also hear the orchestra a lot better. So it's really just the live stream audio team that fucked up, as usual.

Any ways Ashley's mic had to be louder because of Andy's throat he wasn't feeling a 100%. So they had Ashley help out by having his mic volume be louder than Andy's. The sound quality in the beginning was pretty bad. It's not that Ashley's mic was too loud. I love a little Purdy every now and then! The guitars sounded pretty darn muffled as well, not to mention all you could hear of the drums clearly were the cymbals. It sounded better during Rebel Yell, and maybe it was just how the cameras sounded.

Guys please stop hating on Ashley for his mic being loud. He had to really cover for Andy during this performance because his throat was so so swollen and his voice was so scratchy. You can tell because when they come out on stage, it was Ashley that was trying to get the crowd riled up so that Andy could use his voice as little as possible. You can also notice that it looks like Jinxx is trying to sing louder than normal as well to cover for Andy. They are his backup vocals after all. They're there to cover for Andy when he can't sing well or even sing at all.
