Ohio natives Twenty One Pilots have won Artist Of The Year, presented by Monster Energy, at the 2016 Alternative Press Music Awards!
"We're bummed that we can't be there because you're in Columbus, which is where we're from," says Josh Dun.

When you look at how their popularity exploded this year, I think it speaks for itself. Albums aren't the only thing that would make the artist be "one of the year", there's plenty of other things like the tours they do, the way they play their shows, becoming viral wolrdwide all of a sudden, etc...
