Canadian officers ask lot of things before Canadians go for shopping to US - get cheaper gas, cheaper electronics, car spare parts as they are out of stock in Canada. My friends in Vancouver go to Seattle in US to take flights for India that are 60 to 70 % cheaper. I know some people who go to US just to get stuff from Trader Joe's. Canadian countryside is boring, but the moment you enter NY state. Small towns, beautiful houses, mountains, countryside, fenced stables with horses and cows. The only achievement of Canada is having US as its neighbor. They ensured all Canadian cities are in drive of 1.5 hours from US.
