I was an RTS fiend as a child and i played the hell out of this game. Its not very good. However the pre-mission cutscenes are actually way better than they have any right to be. Its worth watching them, I'd say. Just maybe not worth playing lol

Hey, since you brought it up; I don't know if you're familiar with these, but the Supreme Commander games were the spiritual successor to TotalA, as it was created by Chris Taylor, the guy that lead designed TotalA. SupCom Forged Alliance is what I, and most fans, would recommend and considered that series' peak(also, there's some floating stream clips of Sseth telling a story which involved Supreme Commander multiplayer, MandaloreGaming, nuclear strikes, and gaslighting). There's also a community led overhaul for Supcom called Alliance Forever. And there's currently an indie RTS game that is setting itself up as a successor to SupCom; Sanctuary: Shattered Sun. Also, there is a free, indie RTS game; Beyond All Reason. Which is pretty much modernised Total Annihilation, the same way OpenRA is an indie, free, modernized Command and Conquer. :)

The whole thing on kids having no taste and just enjoying scuff is exactly why I get so annoyed when people are getting mad cause kids are enjoying shit reboots or just bad content in general. They're kids, all they want is cool shit and pretty pictures. Give them that and then if they're like "oh it's so good" show them your version, they might not get it now but a lot will grow up and go "Yeeeeeah, I see what you mean now"
@KibitoAkuyaАй бұрын
The problem is when you see actual adults enjoying the same scuffed garbo Yes, there's games out there so scuffed they become fun just for that, but you see some people enjoying stuff so badly broken a pair of cheap snippers breaking at first use and sending shrapnel at your eyes, is still more well made than that
@TheNexDudeАй бұрын
Despite most of it knowingly being trash I still enjoy stuff from my childhood and these kids will do the same. Growing up to me is understanding what you used to be and not seeing it as a means to shun yourself but embrace it.

That's the problem kids have no taste so it's up to adults to make good things for them Why show them a lazy shitty remake when the original does if better ?

1:42 I don't think that Frostpunk 2 and Industrial Annihilation are aiming at anywhere where the same audience. The former will be competing with city building and simulation games, plus maybe more vibes based and thematically driven games like This War of Mine and Papers Please; provided that any of those genres will get new entries. Industrial Annihilation revives a long starving "massive combat" for content sub section of a mostly dead genre of full RTS games. I don't see it competing with anything so it will live and die on its own quality.

@@sultanmalik9808 I'm not whining. I gladly watch most of his stuff. I'm worried that like many channels he might drop it, because it's too much hassle. AFAIK he hasn't seen the SAO Abridged, but he did see original SAO, which makes it much more worth watching reactions to. I don't get where you got "whining" part. I've been watching him for a month, so I'm still thinking of what he could react to - especially since (not because of my age, I'm older than him) I have similar problem. I don't know what he watched himself off the channel. Please don't start with ad hominem. It devolves the conversation. And makes community toxic. I was worried, because I know no less than 5 channels that had to stop upload SAOA after around episode 7, because they didn't have option of blocking it in Japan. Ninja Kuma had to request his audience to copy his videos and post them so he could copyright strike them, so he could get a tool from youtube to geolock those videos from Japan. Because sadly Japanese companies abuse the system, claiming stuff that isn't theirs. I also seen and followed hundreds of DMCA claims, including YT screwing with process. Or putting content creator in untenable position to not lose safe harbor or Japanese company to not lose 512f.
