Take it from someone who has camped in the woods many times. The last thing you want in a SHTF apocalypse situation is to have your sleeping area clearly seen from a distance. I would put a dark brown tarp over my tent, and paint it with flat (no gloss) multiple shades of charcoal gray and brown spray paint to match the colors around me, and surround it with dead branches. You could be literally 20-30 feet from my tent and not know it was there In the winter when the leaves were gone, I could see a small red or blue plastic cup in the woods from over 100 yards away because of the unnatural color contrast Your florescent orange trailer will be seen from many hundreds of yards away, and eventually be stolen and/or vandalized. You should offer a camouflaged version of your trailer, or include a camouflaged net that goes over it I would never use your flame orange trailer in the woods for that reason alone

@SirManAlot Жыл бұрын
This looks dope, but the hinges being on the outside really reduce your security. Is power required to bring the filtered air in? If so, what is the backup B and C if something goes wrong with the air intake/power system? Do you just suffocate? Also, really seems like you should be providing a dedicated monitor for the 360 camera with a laptop plugin being optional. If you have to go outside to access the kitchen, you should be running a water line in so you can hydrate if you have to lock yourself in for whatever reason. Would definitely extend your survival timeline. Is there any insolation, or do you just cook in an oven if the sun is out, assuming you cannot run the AC at the moment? When you first mentioned a drone-launch from inside I was excited, thought you would have a sealed compartment you could access from inside, close/seal, send out, and launch your drone, like a micro-airlock. If you have to open a hatch, it negates the entire seal. Is the entire steel shell bullet-proof? If not, once again, bulletproof glass is cool, but the entire rest of the trailer will be your weak point. Bear spray canisters are a cool idea, but your spray radius is extremely limited, with no apparent method to adjust aim. You just have to pray the man/animal/entity walks directly into the line of fire. Idk guys, it's a cool trailer, and has more hardcore features than most, but calling it Extinction Level Event seems extremely inappropriate. Unless all of these questions have a solid answer, I'd say the design team really missed on what an extinction level event would be.

Not a Maritime Engineer here or former/current navy but I'd say that the rounded off doors on not only navy ships but ships in general will be due to pressure. Doors and windows with square corners are far more likely to crack or have catastrophic failures than those that have rounded off corners and when you consider the amount off pressure a submarine is under when underwater it makes sense to remove any potential failure points and given that most ships internal compartments are made to be water tight incase the ship takes on water or sinks the idea remains due to the amount off pressure that could potentially be put on the door. It's the same with aircraft.

@Chuck_Hooks Жыл бұрын
@Survivalnerd Fair enough. My take is not quite so harsh. This company will respond if the demand from their customers is there. I like their willingness to innovate. So we shall see. Honestly, however, anything short of a Pentagon-style approach to defending against NBC warfare can arguably be called gimmicky. A real NBC protection system would push the cost to be much more than it is now. And no camper company could afford the expensive and extensive testing that would be required. A real solution would include a chem warfare suit with gas mask, filters and a way to spray an exposed suit with appropriate chemicals to detoxify it. And that's just if you are by yourself, let alone chem warfare gear for your wife and three kids. Family dog won't get any help. Then room to carry all that plus the detoxifying chemicals, which would be expensive and probably illegal to own anyway. So with those limitations in mind, everyone can make an informed choice.

Awesome trailer! but if you have to lock yourself in there....what happens when you need to use the bathroom???? They should of added a airplane style toilet. A super sucker!
@Mr2Reviews Жыл бұрын
You're safe until you need to cook or use the bathroom. Cabin has an air purifier but you need to go OUTSIDE to cook and use the bathroom.

Should have called it FOB forward operating base…. Also include outer area security detection mast and ground probes to detect approaching vehicles and foot traffic…nuke sight security protocols…

problem is if you had a bad catastrophe and your inside all air tight you can't get to your water or supplies? Also if its to toxic you'd be like 3 inches away from your supplies but couldn't get to them 🤣

Dang, you could drive safely through Seattle, Portland, or even Chicago if you had the bear spray cannons going the entire time. I wonder how big the spray tanks are. 55 gal would be good.

I just moved from Portland and I am actully thinking this is feasible. Just need a wrap to make it look dirty and swap out the bear spray for flame throwers

Let me know when y’all test the bullet proof glass. Be sure to put a 50 cal round through the other panels and walls as well. I don’t see those walls stopping a 40 S&W much less a 50.
@bonzegrinder1 Жыл бұрын
I was thinking this as well, I don't want bulletproof tiny windows when a .223 can go through the walls...

You might as well put a Starlink receiver on it... Then it will be complete. Update: I just actually watch the entire video and realize you already have starlink. I stand corrected 😁

I fail to see why people would WANT to try and survive after the apocalypse... nothing left to live for, no food shops etc and you'll eventually die a slow and even more painful/horrible death than dying in the first wave. Each to their own I suppose.

Like it. ??? outdoor shower to wash down Zombie spit before dropping clothes. Large air compressor and long hose to work on Jeep. welder, built in jacks on trailer to position trailer away from tow vehicle . Build in 2 way comms from truck to trailer.(blue tooth) , Motion alarms and lights. Over all its Burt Gummer approved.

@Survivalnerd lmao, bro do you not know bushcraft, you can upgrade the solar yourself. Its mobile and small, all you need and whatever you pull with, which should be diesel since you can melt plastic down in air tight containers and make diesel. Easy peasy. Again im more of a bunker down, with my cnc machines, 3d scanner, 3d printer, all my replacement parts have been downloaded so i can fix anything that breaks downs. I have hard copies of all my parts and schematics. 40x40 bunker wasnt hard to make, and got a 40x8 from atlas bunker made I recommend it to everyone. Save money get a plot of land

Sooo. Unless I missed something, we have inch thick bullet proof windows and windows in the door. But the rest of the body is what? I assume composite panels and maybe a thin steel or aluminium skin?
