Had to mention a few things about this trailer that I would advise potential buyers to inquire about. 1. It's tall at 9 feet plus if you add top tent and even more if you go with 33" tires. It's skinny 88" on a cab over wheel design. It looked a bit tippy even at low speeds. 2. That hitch extension on the Bronco looks like a bad idea. Especially since you were liklely over hitch capacity. You know that extension draw bar lowers your tongue weight capacity. This trailer should not be towed by a jeep or bronco even if you have one of the few models that are rated to 5,000 lbs. The trailer tounge is to short to pull with a vehicle that has a spare tire on the rear. Plus you had no trailer brakes. Crazy 3. I have an awining mounted on my trailer that is bit lower. I am 6 2" and I have to use stools to deploy. Doing from the roof is very sketchy, especially if the wind is blowing. Does it really cover the kitchen with it set back on the roof? 4. The dry weight of 2,900 pounds has to be without propane, rack, ladder, shovel, axe, high jack and spare tires. I would confirm. 5. Specs on website give no info on the brand of components. Water heater, solor panals, inverter, solar controler etc. Flame King stove top is low budget. As well as the cooler. Cooler is so small without the ability to make bigger. Not good for off grid travel. No access to frig unless kitchen is deployed. 6. Furnas is only rated to 5,000 vertical feet. 7. So a trailer with 23" of ground clearance with an articulating hitch that is 9+ feet tall is going to sway at speed and wind on freeway. Especially being pulled by a short wheel base vehicle. 8. One will need a dc/dc charger to get any trickel charge while in transit. 9. Timbrens should crossbar installed. The elastomers looked super stiff and you were crawling. 10. The standing space inside is so minimal i bet three people would be the max. Shower is so small and seems like water would spray everywhere. 11. Its almost like they used the same size chassis as thier smaller units. All carbon steel aspects should be powder coated or galvanized in this price point.

Remember to old saying " if this rig is a rocking don't come a knocking " Well that certainly applies to the TL with no Stabilizers. I imagine with the Tandum axel and skinny chassis they feel like it doesn't need any but leveling could be time consuming. With that and setting up the awning not so sure this rig has a short set up time.

I don't need the space as my youngest just officially became an adult yesterday, but if it was in the budget, their ELE would be on order ASAP. That thing is badda$$. I'm in the process of designing my own DIY off road trailer. But wow that trailer you reviewed is insanely awesome. Thanks for the vid. I thought I was going crazy designing a 6.5'x12'x 6'3" (im 6 foot tall). I'm still gonna build my own but the Mammoth in my mind is worth every penny. I missed the brand for the shocks on the trailer. Where can I get those?

Kudos for being straight forward that the TL is too heavy for a 3,500 (350 lb tounge weight) towing capacity vehicle! Really curious what the genius TL weighs with all extras shown plus rooftop tent. It has to be over 2,900 pounds. FYI - I have not heard anyone mention a dc/dc charger. Assuming one is not included you can not expect any charge from the vehicle.

Cool trailer! I noticed you have an extension on your hitch. I did the same pulling my Taxa Cricket and bent the hitch. I had to have it fixed at a body shop and reinforced it. Also the tongue weight is a lot less which freaked me out a bit. I don't use the extender anymore and sucks because I can't get in the back of the Bronco.

So, I wonder... Three products, accomplish the same task. One is cheap. (China) One is designed in us, manufactured in China (Mid) and one is Made in USA. (Premium) Star rating against one another. There are tiers. You can go cheap, you can go mid, or you can go bougie. I think I have examples of all three on my rig, haha. There are soooo many products out there, that solve various problems. Sometimes, it can be hard for newbs to know the difference between good kit, and garbage. You're a pretty good judge, I think...

These are cool and if you have the money great, 98% of the people watching your channel don't have this kind of money, so for them I would say, get a small cargo trailer, put timbrin's on them yourself, and save $100K. Now you have an "off-road" capable trailer than can help move your ATV, your buddies house, or you can throw some cots and a boxio sink / toilet in it and viola, you have yourself an overland off road trailer.

Just get M416 military trailer, and get nice gear. These very large/Tall trailers are a accident waiting to happen on the trails. Never mind how are you going to pass oncoming traffic, or how will you pull over for faster traffic...........Especially in the PNW trail system. @3:10 Do not try to sell it as unnoticeable while being towed. Anyone whom has towed a small trailer on a trail knows that is a lie. Then later in the video you contradict this statement. Please do not get into the habit of being a salesman when "reviewing" gear.
@J_Medlin4 ай бұрын
Seriously. This review was just unnecessary. Something this size and weight needs to stay off trails or be mounted on the back of a Isuzu truck.

I said that I don’t feel it affecting the handling of the bronco or feel any sway of the trailer through the bronco. I also said I didn’t notice wind effecting it. I DID say that the weight was noticeable. This was also intended as an overview, not a review. This is a prototype trailer so things will likely change slightly. Not fair to make a review on a beta product. Just showing what’s coming. Also, a surprisingly small amount of my audience is PNW. My highest viewed audience is from Florida and Texas. In those areas this makes a lot of sense and while this is not ideal for some PNW trail systems, it doesn’t mean it’s bad for all. Please remember that their are other situations and perspectives out there other than your own

I’m sorry but most of this camper looks very chintzy. As someone else already commented, the components used here are complete junk. Bottom of the barrel stock RV components that all the generic OEMs buy. Not comforting for 75K+. To the Mammoth Overland folks: What are the pros cons of the Timbren HD suspension vs something else like Dexter Torsion axle? Was there a particular engineering design choice or constraint in selecting this specific type of suspension over so many other options now on the market for off-road trailers. You can purchase a BYD car with over a 400km range for less than this trailer. You can use you money to make money or make someone else rich.
