18 years ago my cousin gave me a stereo system and multiple CDs. And Plays Metallica by Four Cellos was one of them. I still remember it as if it was yesterday. The only metal album from a whole bunch of CDs. U still sound amazing and keep creating awesome music!

If you took the best songs from load/reload, you've got 1 amazing album, but the problem is that even the filler songs are OK and unique. They're artists and they chose to create a different form of their art. At the end of the day Metallica is one of the greatest musicians of all time, for any form pr genre of music. James hetfield is the riff master.

First "Plays Metallica" album was cello version of Metallica songs. It seems second album will be reinvention of Metallica. Many creative ideas and bringing flavours from other Metallica songs. For example it is hard to say this one is only Unforgiven 2. It is something else, which makes it much better imo.

Yes, I totally agree. I like this more creative approach to the arrangements, and not trying to play the songs note for note - it sounds fresh. If I want to listen to Metallica played note for note, then I just listen to Metallica. But these new covers add something new to the songs, and essentially make them separate songs, and not just covers.
