Mel said what everyone knew, but no-one was prepared to come out and say. That's what Australians do. Not like all the other festering jelly-backs in Hollywood, particularly the likes of Oprah who wanted to act all pious when she was part of the system. He took them on when he directed Braveheart, The Passion of the Christ, Apocalypto and Hacksaw Ridge. He's been laughing all the way to the bank ever since. While Mirramax has crashed and burned and Weinstein is in Jail for most likely the rest of his life. 🇦🇺👍🖕

I'm from Central America, my grandparents tell me that in the 1940's men would settle their quarrrels with machetes and that some people would split frogs in half with their machetes and the white posion from their skin would stain the blade. It would remain there for weeks and that when they cut someone with that blade he would get horribly infected and die from his infection faster than from the wound itself.

Have to admit I may well have got this movie all wrong….I thought it may have been all about saving the rainforest etc etc…..it appears I was VERY wrong! This scene is incredible. Two words spoken in nearly 4 minutes and yet the tension is mind blowing. The sound as powerful as the pictures and really adds a whole new dimension to the scene….incredible….now on my definite watch list….

Such a movie men! Can’t say much but amazing, humans in its raw with basic tools basic natural tools nothing more just native Americans surviving, they are kin but separated by speech and one went one way and got lost and the then found a girl and then created a lost tribe and such.
