You can lightly dust the pages with so Airspun translucent powder to stop sticking. It's like $5 for a pretty big jar at Walmart.

If you haven't been told this yet, a tip from an art journaling like me is if pages stick together like that, often due to modepodge. Rubb some clear or white candle vax on the sticky places and your problem is no more. :)

Man, I really do still have so many learned things to unlearn. You're the second person I've run across today on KZbin who combines bible/Christianity with witchcraft. I've been feeling a pull in both directions lately and I was fretting about it, all _these cannot go together, pick one!_ then decided what the heck and put up an enormous wooden pentagram on the wall right across from the shelves where my bibles are. XD I'm very much an "if it feels right, it's fine" sort of person, so I'm not sure why it sometimes takes me so long to give that permission to myself lol.

I don’t know if you saw it in there, but the dream I had early on in my journey showed me that I could blend Christianity with magick and basically I felt the energy I associated with Jesus/God/the Holy Spirit tell me it’s ok. So I just kept going! 😅

love your book and the way you have set it out :) i use a matt gel medium to protect my pages because it is a sealant it dries .. whereas Mod podge tell you to apply a clear acrylic sealer after to eliminate the tackiness, or you could try baking paper between the pages that might stop them sticking together , it would be such a shame if one day you couldn't open the pages .. good luck to you for the future :)

It appears to be based on a poem by Doreen Valiente who, in case you didn't know, was one of Gerald Gardner's High Priestesses and helped him re-do the Book of Shadows to remove most of the Aleister Crowley influences.

Just a tip I've seen some junk journal makers do this, if you want to make your own book you can bind your signatures and for the cover, if you aren't above/opposed to doing this, you can repurpose a hardcover from a book that isn't important to you, maybe some thrifted book. You can dress this hardcover up in any way you like. It's a good skeleton to work with. Oh and another thought, you could put wax paper between those pages that are sticking together because of the mod podge because eventually it will very likely mess up your pages if they are constantly stuck together and pulled apart
@aphaiawyn53613 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I thought about using an existing book cover and actually created another book based on that premise. And the wax paper idea is perfect, thanks!

Had that same issue with pages sticking. I waited too long and ended up with pages stuck together and when I separated them I had bits of the paper that lifted up. After multiple touch ups and a few minor hissy fits later, I researched what to do. Best thing I've found is Tim Holtz's Micro Glaze. It comes in this tiny little jar and you're gonna say, no way am I spending $$ for that little bit, but seriously it just takes a minuscule amount on your fingertip. Rub it on the page then take a paper towel and wipe it down to get any excess off. I promise you won't regret it. I also found out wax works, too. If you can't get the micro glaze, use a plain white candle - no dye - and rub it on your page as a quick fix. I used a tea light candle. Love your book and hope to see more. Blessings.

Lovely video and inspirational too. I love the way it is well organised, this is one thing I seem to struggle with, so seeing yours will help me with mine.. I love the little pockets on some of the pages and different text`s of paper/card. I`ve been making notes to put into my book for a couple of years, and I feel now is the time to put it together. I started one, but I have decided to start another and use notes from the first one.. It is a lovely book you have made for yourself. Thank you for sharing it. :-)
