I have the Duet 3 . I am coming from the Apollo Twin MKII. Let me tell you something one word for the Duet 3 ACCURATE ACCURATE …….. well that’s two lol. The converts is most accurate and detailed over the Apollo Twin MKii I know it’s all subjective. But for me it’s the Duet 3 . I had my Apollo Twin for about six years until it started to give me some problems. Then I also started doing more work on my iPad Pro which….the Duet 3 is perfect for also. I am glad to see the Apogee Duet 3 on this channel . I love this Channel Chris. Apple Logic and Apogee products go hand to hand . Especially for a Logic user like myself I am glad I found this channel.

The Duet 3 is my next purchase for sure...just bought a Cranborne Camden EC-1 and I'm picking up a set of Neumann NDH30, once I save more cash I'm absolutely going with a Duet 3...my Duet 2 is killer but I'd like to upgrade. I do have a Motu M2 but I can tell you that the spatial difference when mixing for me personally is quite noticeable. On paper the Motu is killer and it is quite good but something I had noticed going back to some old mixes that I had recorded on my Duet 2 was how much bigger and how much more balanced they sounded, so out came the Duet 2 and its been on my desk since. Like Chris said Apogee "is" the OG of professional grade portable interfaces. Great Review!!

Better converters, preamps and Logic Pro X Integration. Anyway, the Babyface Pro is also a fantastic device with better round trip latency. PreAmps and Conversion is also great on the Babyface but not as good as on the Apogee though. For Apple devices Apogee is plug and play. For windows I would go with RME. Duet 3 also works with IOS devices like IPad etc..

How they didn't implement a dual host/otg capability is beyond me. The port is already there.

I got one of these, Great sound quality but pure shit in build quality, those purple lights start losing their intensity very fast. Being honest after 1.5 years after buying this thing I can´t even see if I got the led od headphones or main output selected to use the big knob. Same for the ring light, it´s pretty weak now. I´d prefer a conservative design with the same great sound and avoid this things made not to last

I’m sure the quality is as fantastic as it’s been for decades, however at this point, so is every other audio interface, especially Universal Audio Apollo Solo/Arrow/Volt. The whole breakout cable thing is a dealbreaker, and this dock adapter seems very cumbersome and looks like a horrible design and a total mess. Hard pass.
