I had their mission patch on my bedroom door as a kid. Dave Scott was a childhood hero of mine. This was an awesome watch… kudos!

This is a amazing revisit to my favorite of the Apollo missions that I watched during my college days in aerospace engineering. Footnote: The poet who wrote about the "cool, green hills of Earth" is Robert A. Heinlein, writing about his character "Noisy Rhysling, the blind singer of the spaceways" in his story ""The Green Hills of Earth." The Apollo 15 astronauts named Rhysling Crater for the character.

Our family was in Iowa the week of this mission for the dedication of the Rathbun Dam by President Nixon. I still have some pics of him on the podium while he spoke. I was almost 13 years old, and remember watching some of the EVAs in our motel room. Good memories of Apollo 15 and Iowa.
