Incredible how they're laser focused on a shuttle design during the active Apollo years, that almost came into fruition 1:1. I think we're still highly amazed of the true American innovation and enterprise all around the globe here half a century, 45-50-55 years, later. A standing ovation is still very well deserved.

11:05 You can tell how hard they’re trying not to say that the Air Force had a KH-11 and some then-classified ground based telescopes look at it to assess the damage.

Sadly, the ASTRO-1 Halley observation mission (STS-61E) was cancelled after the Challenger disaster (51-L also had the Spartan-Halley satellite they were supposed to deploy and retrieve).

So Neil was just not very good at speaking in general, not anxious because they "faked" the moon landing.

The narration on this is terrible. Using TTS to get around the fact that this is stealing someone else’s footage is pretty lame.

This film shows why the cancellation of the second Saturn V production run in 1967 was an extremely short-sighted idea.

Why are there chairs?

How interesting! Knowing what we know today, the chairs would be completely useless. It looks sort of like a version of a Star Trek Starship, as if they had artificial gravity.

Likely the design would've been put into a spin to provide gravity, since a lot of concepts back then were big on it

OK. Not only was this fun, but showed Rockwell was super-serious on making the station as well the Shuttle--if NASA had been given the funding. Never knew they made full scale mockups. You'd think they'd know (as the Command Module makers) chairs and tables wouldn't be really needed. And apparently I wanted to see Snoopy floating by in a space suit with all the Vince Guaraldi music playing. Awesome find.

Half of the comments seem to be brought here from Arknights Lone Trail story. Can't really blame them though. The story really encapsulates humanity's desire to do era-defining breaktroughs, explore the unknown and voyage into space. Just as The Voyager 1 launch was for us. The fact that the game sampled the countdown for the Kristen's theme "Control's Wishes" is a really based reference. Good night Voyager. Good night Terra.
