Took the Apollo City Pro for a ride and over all I really like it. It has some speed but for the price you can get much quicker scooters.
That being said I feel like the only alternative with a decent water resistance rating is the Segway P100S which is quite a bit more expensive.

You've convinced me to get one, and it's a dream! I'm right at the 265-pound weight limit, and I breeze uphill at 35 km/h. I'm starting to think we need to design cities that only allow portable electric vehicles.

If you are looking to buy, please read my comment fully, it is a long story, but it will give you an idea of what to expect of this scooter and Apollo. Got mine, rode it once on a sunny day and the ride was really fun and smooth. On the second ride, right from the start, I noticed the rear motor started squealing really badly. I went and bought silicon lubricant and tried lubing the bearings. This did not help. I message Apollo support, they told me to dissassemble the wheel to lubricate the part of the bearing that is hidden under the drum brake. So I did by following what the guy did in the tutorial video the support sent me. This was a nightmare to do. The wheel would just not go down as it is supposed to do after removing the wheel nuts. So after pushing more and more down on the wheel, a fender screw snapped. The fender is not linked to the wheel and is not supposed to be removed to be able to remove the wheel. The wheel was jammed in there so tightly between the spacers and the fender that weirdly serves as spacer, that the fender got dragged with the wheel. Anyways, I finally managed to remove the wheel by unscrewing all of the fender screws including the snapped one and wiggling the wheel down. I then lubricated the bearing and started reassembling the whole thing. Reassembling the wheel was even worse than taking it out as the spacers and fender are basically press fitted between the 2 rear arms. After about an hour of trying really hard to put it back, I finally did it. It was not like in the video the support provided me as his scooter has no spacers to make it seem easy. Without the spacers, it is indeed easy, but I wanted to put them back as they must be there for a reason. After screwing back the wheel nuts, I realized that the fender was not exactly alight with the 4 screw holes, so I did not put the a crews back in. The fender was holding tightly in there just with the pressure of the whole assembly. I then tried the scooter to see if the problem was fixed. The motor still squealed like crazy so I recorded it and sent it to the support. They finally told me to bring it to the repair center in montreal so I submitted a repair ticked and brought it myself there at the time of the appointment they made with me. Once there, the guy had nothing in his system about me. I explained to the technician what the problem was and how to replicate it. I also told him that there were no fender screws and if he could install back some and he agreed saying it was not a problem. He told me I would take 5 days. 3weeks later, no news. I email them, they tell me they will contact them. After a few days, I contacted them again for news. They apologize for the delay and say that the fender screw heads were snapped and that they could not grind them out. I would have to pay in the hundreds to get it fixed. As for the motor, they could not replicate the issue. I tell them again how to replicate the issue, just ride it and use the regen brake and it then keeps squealing. I repeat that there are no screws left and I took care of removing the snapped bits myself. They reply that surely the technicians have given a valid verdict and that the screws were snapped. They were not, the reason there were no screw heads is because there is no screws at all. I argued for a few emails and they finally decided to look into it. It has now been 5weeks, 17 exchanged emails, and I still do not even know if they found the issue or if my scooter is beign worked on. They won't refund the scooter either. At 2000$ and only 33kms put on the scooter in total, I feel robbed of my money.

@@youngtaylor1521 No, they did not want to fix the issue as they could not replicate the problem. The screws were indeed not snapped, the holes were just not alligned. The squeaking goes away after riding it for a few minutes so I just ignore it, but I still feel scammed.

Question are you going down hill through out your video? I ask because my scooter maxs out at 32mph on flat surface and gets upwards of 50mph going down hills. The video appears to show you mostly on flat surfaces, but in most cases your doing over the 32mph spd limiter. Did you disable the spd limiter, if so how?

I was looking at these when i was looking to upgrade from my ninebot max but the drum brakes kinda put my off a little my max would fade a bit after alot of stop and go or hills. i also could not find many in the uses market and people had a few quality issues getting them new. I ended up getting a dualtron eagle pro. One thing is going from a single motor to a dual is you never will want to go back. I loved my ninebot max and it had 5555 miles with no issues besides tire wear and a valve. But it has nothing on being able to do multiple rides without charging, climbing hills and 40mph speeds.

@@nicthedoor absolutely, especially because e-bikes go up to 25 kp/h and they dont need an insurance plate (in comparison to Scooters). And that's not all, allowed are only Scooters, not any other type of small electronic vehicles and turn Signals have to have a minimum distance so the Trittbrett Fritz (german apollo city) dont use the great turn signals from the original but to easily breakable protuding bulbs. And smaller Scooters cant even add turn signals because of that.
