Apollo / Nice 1050 board replaced with Patriot Swing gate board

I sell that Patriot board all day long for $385 at Gate Openers Direct in Houston, but no one ever properly grounds the ground lug in the bottom left corner of the 1050 board. The lightning protection can't work if you don't put a GROUNDING ROD in the ground next to the opener and bond it to that ground lug. Its a good board that is rarely installed properly, 20 yrs newer tech than the patriot and has lots more features. If there is any downside to the 1050 board, it is too technical for most installers.

i have the apollo 835 836 control board and it gone bad, can i replace it with the patriot swing gate board ?

Marty I wish I had a way to direct message you. I have burned through 10 1050i Nice Apollo boards in 10 years. I’m sick of it. Need to retrofit to Patriot II.
