Thank you for this video. It was a tremendous help. Especially finding out where the ignition switch was located! There was a small rubber tube left over and I think I know where it goes. It fits perfectly into the main bolt hole holding the front forks. The gasoline breather hose goes through it.

Where does the oil line connect to ??
@selfmotivatedmotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
The crankcase ventilation hose is not a oil line and just ventilates on to the ground. This keeps too much pressure building up in the crankcase and would cause seals to be blown out if not ventilated.

Great video Billy! Thank you so much for this! Basically this is the best assembly video for this bike so far! I have a question, isn’t necessary to change the oil in this bike before starting it for the first time?
@selfmotivatedmotorcycles3 жыл бұрын
I would say no because I am sure the manufacturer has good break in oil in it already. I would probably take it easy for the first few hours and then after it has gotten hot and then cooled down 5- 10 times it probably could use an oil change.
@jaredblaschke77672 жыл бұрын
@@selfmotivatedmotorcycles they most certainly do not have a good break in oil, much less a good oil point blank period in it when sent. It’s essentially a storage oil to keep it wet and DEFINITELY needs to be drained and changed before starting the first time. New motors these days should be run hard (given the right parameters) the first 20 hours to ensure a proper seal on the cylinder

Hi Billy! I hope you are doing well, I received and assembled my bike today just like you did ( same bike model) but when I tried to start the bike for the first time, it started but then it went off. I have the switch in run, gas in the tank, I even tried with the choke, but as soon as it starts, it goes off. Any recommendation or advice you can give me?
@selfmotivatedmotorcycles3 жыл бұрын
Pull spark plug, with the ignition wire hooked to it, and ground plug on the engine by touching the engine, kick engine over to see if you got spark. If you got spark check for pinched or blocked gas line. I’m sure it is something simple and you will get it. Let me know what happens.

Check oil too
@jhojanrendon69363 жыл бұрын
@@selfmotivatedmotorcycles thank you sir! I’ll give it a try tomorrow after work, oil is in good level too. Also there is hose that comes from the back of the motor, it had a zip tie and a warning sign saying that it had to be removed before starting because it could cause explosion or damage, of course I removed it, but is that hose supposed to be attached somewhere? Or is it a pressure relief?

Hey Billy! I hope you are doing great! I have a question for you man, I just swapped the rear wheel on my z40, but I’m wondering, do you know what is the rear axle bolt torque pressure supposed to be?

It is my opinion that 40 LBS of torque is plenty for both front and rear axle nut.
