We have a similar example from Ravi Zacharias. A brilliant man who had similar issue and he did what he did. As a man who knew the Bible he most likely knew what he did was wrong but he carried on anyways. Again not a wisdom issue but a will issue since he knew how to keep silence of this. In Matt. 12:43-45 we have an example of a person who the God has helped to put the things in order but the house is empty meaning there is no one guarding (see luke 11) and the evil spirit comes back with seven worse spirits and then his situation is worse than before. What Solomon did ment that his desires were more important to him than the relationship with God so he gave up to his desires so his "house" was empty and so his situation was worse because he turned away from God.

Muslims say the Qur'an mentions Muhammad in the Torah and the Gospel. They look for Mohammad in the OT Song of Solomon - but Song of Solomon is not in the OT Torah or the NT gospel. The real reason why Mohammad is NOT found in the Torah, the Gospel and the Song of Solomon, or any other book of the Holy Bible is that Mohammad's real name was QUTHAM, and not Mohammad. And no one knows who Qutham's father was. The name of QUTHAM is not found Anywhere in the entire Bible. The name "Mohammad" actually means the "Praised One" and the Praised One is a Divine Title which only belongs to Almighty God. QUTHAM is a Shirker for using a Divine Title to describe himself, and associate himself with God. Also, Qutham (aka Mohammad) was from a small desert tribe called Quaraysh, and they worshipped Ka'ba idols. Even the Qur'an own testimony says that "Prophethood" came through Isaac and Jacob only (Sura 27:29) so that disqualifies Qutham (aka Mohammad) from Prophethood, because he was not from the prophet lineage of Isaac and Jacob. ✅

As to the Song of Songs, I would think IP would be able to spot Egyptian love poetry when he sees it. It always appeared to me as such. Mind you it’s Hebrew but clearly influenced by Egyptian and probably Greek or phonetician tropes. Yes that’s obviously it’s origin, but the question is, how did this become scripture? Well, read the lyrics to “The Best is Yet to Come” and you can see how someone might interpret it as being about Christ’s love for the church. You have to hear the music to be tipped off that it’s not. Probably someone got ahold of the text for this and interpreted it as God’s love for Israel, and the tradition of using it as such is valid enough, and I think the best part of it is that it shows you how love itself is a type of God’s love and all love poetry, insofar as it is good love poetry, is also about God.

An allegorical reading does not supplant a "direct" reading, it *depends* on it. I disagree that people turn Songs into an allegory because they're uncomfortable with sex. Songs has a lot of weird imagery that suggests a metaphorical interpretation. For example, I don't think many men would tell their sweethearts "Your hair is like goat's hair," "your neck is like a tower." Likewise the woman has very strange compliments for her husband, "Your cheeks are like a bed of spices, " "Your face is as excellent as Lebanon's cedars". I don't know Songs is a weird book.

The inspired word of God is not just a love poem. The entire book the song of Solomon is about sacred sexuality. It is about ancient Jewish Kabbalahlistic principles of sacred sexuality as a means to achieve divine consciousness, i.e. salvation
