For all those who *CLAIM* they believe in *"Scripture ALONE"* , they ALL should be *SILENT* and hand out the *"BIBLE ALONE"* The moment people *start telling other people what THEY think the bible says* and apply it to what THEY think it means, *the bible is NOT ALONE* They become hypocrites! And, that is how every heresy begins, the Protestants and the cults simply can't leave the scripture ALONE.

I think all denominations have an epidemic of uninformed Christians. I was talking to a Catholic friend and he didn't even know who John the Baptist was, or what repentance is. This can be argued for why the average Christian does need a firm guiding hand like the Catholic or Orthodox church, especially education-wise, but the best thing is to simply read the Bible and pray for God to help you understand it.

So great that Pastor Jeff takes the time to go through these controversies step by step, using the scripture as it should be used and getting to the real crux of the matter. There are so many progressives twisting the scripture these days, the Pastor gives an object lesson in how to dismantle the lies and false doctrines. In our church people accept as a fact that Christians disagree on biblical interpretation and that we therefore cannot claim that the Bible says anything definitively at all. We actually celebrate diversity and consider our doctrinal tolerance as a strength and sign of maturity. Thank God for leaders like Pastor Jeff! A true shepherd of the flock!

As is often the case, the Church Fathers' statements are removed from their context and distorted by Protestant apologists. It is interesting to note that the same St. Clement of Rome stated the following just two chapters prior to the one quoted in this video: "Let us cleave, then, to those to whom grace has been given by God. Let us clothe ourselves with concord and humility, ever exercising self-control, standing far off from all whispering and evil-speaking, BEING JUSTIFIED BY OUR WORKS, and not our words....Let us therefore earnestly strive to be found in the number of those that wait for Him, in order that we may share in His promised gifts. But HOW, beloved, shall this be done? If our understanding be fixed by faith towards God; if we earnestly SEEK the things which are pleasing and acceptable to Him; if we DO the things which are in harmony with His blameless will; and if we FOLLOW the way of truth, CASTING AWAY from us all unrighteousness and iniquity, along with all covetousness, strife, evil practices, deceit, whispering, and evil-speaking, all hatred of God, pride and haughtiness, vain glory and ambition. For they that DO such things are hateful to God; and not only they that DO them, but also those that take pleasure in them that DO them" (St. Clement of Rome to the Corinthians, Capitula 30 & 35). St. Clement is stating that we do not have the right to boast in ourselves (cf. Eph. 2:5-10 & Clement to the Corinthians, Caput 30) but are reliant upon God and His grace, for the Lord is the primary actor in our salvation and we simply respond and cooperate with the grace that He has freely offered us. St. John Chrysostom responds to the notion that one can be justified by the works of the Mosaic Law apart from the Law of Faith/Liberty/Christ/Grace. This He says is not so and that by the Grace of Faith (Alone) which is the first grace a believer receives is absolutely necessary for justification and ultimately salvation unto glory. St. John Chrysostom also says this and is not a friend, whatsoever, of Pastor Durbin: "'He that believes in the Son has everlasting life.’ ‘Is it enough, then, to believe in the Son,’ someone will say, ‘in order to have everlasting life?’ By no means! Listen to Christ declare this himself when he says, ‘Not everyone who says to me, “Lord! Lord!” shall enter into the kingdom of heaven’; and the blasphemy against the Spirit is alone sufficient to cast him into hell. But why should I speak of a part of our teaching? For if a man believe rightly in the Father and in the Son and in the Holy Spirit, but does not LIVE RIGHTLY, his faith will AVAIL HIM NOTHING TOWARD SALVATION” (Homilies on the Gospel of John 31:1).
@zacharyevans8152
@zacharyevans8152 7 ай бұрын
Through faith are you made righteous. Durbin understands that faith without works is a "dead faith": kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3Oqi5-gjpymo6c go to the thirty-four minute mark. Christians believe that Faith = Salvation + Works and not Faith + Works = Salvation Clement didn't subscribe to faith+works. "BEING JUSTIFIED BY OUR WORKS, and not our WORDS" The quote that you capitalized is in relation to "actions speak louder than words" So if you are a preacher, but don't walk the walk, how can you be justified? Anyone can build themselves up by reciting scripture. But if you do not express your Faith by your works, then you have no faith and are not justified. You are a hypocrite, whom Jesus admonished many many times. Reading this (and thank you for sharing) I can see how the RCC thought that you must do good works in addition to having faith to be saved. But this should have been taken into context with all the other passages in scripture which affirm (true)Faith = Salvation. Because if you love Jesus, you will obey Him and abide in Him. To simply proclaim Him your Lord is just "words". The ultimate problem of F+W=S when you place "works" before Salvation in the above equation is that makes Works start to become about YOU. You do works not for God, but for yourself so you can get to Heaven. But God says, here is my Son, believe and trust in Him because He took your sins away, not by your own doing but by His. So then when you receive this wonderful Gift, you are glad, and rejoice and love Him because of it. When you love an authority (such as a parent or Jesus), you obey them (works). But When you are indifferent to an authority, you might obey them but only for the sake of not being punished. Also, just because you do good works, it does not necessarily prove your love for Him. Maybe you are doing good works because you look good to your neighbors. Which is why "faith alone" is so important. I hope you understand now.

Romans 4:5 speaks about the same Mosaic Law, not works of love that cooperate with faith; notice that immediately following v. 5, David's example is propped up in vv. 6-8 where Paul quotes Psalm 32, a Psalm of repentance from sin. Romans 5:1, stripped from its context and ignores what comes immediately after, viz., Paul's true understanding of being justified by faith, that is through loving virtuous acts: "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces ENDURANCE, and endurance produces CHARACTER, and character produces HOPE, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us" (vv. 3-4). Galatians 2:16 & 3:24 again speak about works of the Mosaic Law and not works of love. Ephesians 1:14 speaks generally about the inheritance itself. The inheritance is a down payment that He offers until all things come to pass, where God judges those who will be saved and those who will be damned. The very word "arrabon" in Greek denotes a temporary state until the full amount is paid. It is still possible for some to fall away by rejecting God until that comes to pass (see Hebrews 10:26-31 & Gal. 5:4). You utterly misunderstand Philippians 3:9 because this clearly speaks about righteousness not coming from the Mosaic Law. I wholeheartedly concur with that! Notice what Paul says in vv. 13-16: "Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained." Paul speaks again about enduring unto the end, the same thing he states in Romans 5, and then says that we must hold on to what we have already attained through faith because if we don't, we will not be saved. That is why he tells the Philippians to imitate him in v. 17, and then speaks about those who have become enemies of Christ by turning away from him (vv. 18-19).

You’re looking in the wrong book. The audience knew that Jesus wasn’t speaking metaphorically. “The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” ‭‭St John‬ ‭6‬:‭53‬ ‭DRC1752‬‬ Jesus doesn’t correct any misunderstanding. He doubles down on his meaning. “Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you.” ‭‭St John‬ ‭6‬:‭54‬ ‭DRC1752‬‬ The Catholic understanding of these doctrines are readily available online.

All 3 instances show people taking Jesus literally. How can a man be born again? Where do I get this water? And then...how can we eat his flesh? It's spiritual, not literal. For it to be literal would make Jesus method of teaching inconsistent. He didn't correct Nicodemus or the Samaritan either.

Cyril of Jerusalem (350 A.D.): The Church is called Catholic, then, because it extends over the whole world, from end to end of the earth, and because it teaches universally and infallibly each and every doctrine which must come to the knowledge of men, concerning things visible and invisible, heavenly and earthly, and because it brings every race of men into subjection to godliness, governors and governed, learned and unlearned, and because it universally treats and heals every class of sins, those committed with the soul and those with the body, and it possesses within itself every conceivable form of virtue, in deeds and in words and in the spiritual gifts of every description. ... And, if you ever are visiting in cities, do not inquire simply where the house of the Lord is for the others, sects of the impious, attempt to call their dens houses of the Lord, nor ask merely where the Church is, but where is the Catholic Church. For this is the name peculiar to this holy Church, the mother of us all, which is the spouse of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God. Augustine (393 A.D.) We must hold to the Christian religion and to communication in her Church, which is Catholic and which is called Catholic, not only by her own members but even by all her enemies. For when heretics or the adherents of schisms talk about her, not among themselves but with strangers, willy-nilly they call her nothing else but Catholic. For they will not be understood unless they distinguish her by this name which the whole world employs in her regard. ... If all men throughout the world were such as you most vainly accuse them of having been, what has the chair of the Roman church done to you, in which Peter sat, and in which Anastasius sits today. ... If the very order of the Episcopal order is to be considered, how much more, surely, truly, safely do we number them from Peter himself, to Whom, as to one representing the whole Church, the Lord said: ‘Upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not conquor it.’ Peter was succeeded by Linus, Linus by Clement, Clement by Anicletus, Anecletus by Averistus… …In this succession, not a Donatist Bishop can be found. Lactantius (304-310 A.D.): [The Heretics], having lost the name of Christ, they have ceased to be Christians, and have put on human and foreign names. It is therefore, the Catholic Church alone which retains true worship. This is the fountain of truth, this the domicile of faith, this the temple of God. Whoever does not enter there, or whoever does not go out from here, he is a stranger to the hope of life and salvation. Pope Steven I (268 A.D.): And other heretics if they have parted themselves from the Church, can have nothing to do with its power and grace since all power and grace is settled in the Church, where presides presbyters [bishops] who possess both the power both of baptizing, and of imposing hands, and of ordaining. Cyprian of Carthage (251 A.D.): There speaks Peter, upon whom the Church would be built, teaching in the name of the Church and showing that even if a stubborn and proud multitude withdraws because it does not wish to obey, yet the Church does not withdraw from Christ. The people joined to the priest, and the flock clinging to their shepherd in the Church. You ought to know, then, that the bishop is in the Church and the Church in the bishops; and if someone is not with the bishop, he is not in the Church. They vainly flatter themselves who creep up, not having peace with the priest of God, believing that they are secretly in communion with certain individuals. For the Church, which is one and Catholic is not split nor divided, but is indeed united and joined by the cement of priests who adhere one to another. ... While the bond of concord remains and the indivisible sacrament of the Catholic Church continues, each Bishop disposes and directs his own work, as one who must give an account of his admiration to the Lord. Clement of Alexandria (202 A.D.): From what has been said then, it seems clear to me that the true Catholic Church, that which is really ancient is one. … We say therefore, that in substance, in concept, in origin, and in eminence, the ancient and Catholic Church is alone, gathering as it does into the unity of the one faith…those already chosen, those predestined by God who knew that before the foundation of the world, they would be just. Tertullian (200 A.D.): Where was Marcion, that shipmaster of Pontus, the zealous student of Stoicism? Where was Valentinus, the disciple of Platonism? For it is evident that those men lived not so long ago-in the reign of Antonius for the most part-and that they at first were believers in the doctrine of the Catholic Church, in the church of Rome under the papacy of the blessed Eleutherius, until on account of their ever restless curiosity, with which they even infected the brethren, they were more than once expelled. ... But if you are near Italy, you have Rome - from where our authority derives. How happy is that Church, on which apostles poured out their whole doctrine along with their blood, where Peter endured a passion like that of our Lord, where Paul was crowned with a death like John’s. Irenaeus (180 A.D.): But since it would be too long to enumerate in such a volume as this the successions of all the churches, we shall confound all those who, in whatever manner, whether through self-satisfaction or vainglory, or through blindness and wicked opinion, assemble other than where it is proper, by pointing out here the successions of the bishops of the greatest and most ancient church known to all, founded and organized at Rome by the two most glorious apostles, Peter and Paul -that church which has the tradition and the faith with which comes down to us after having been announced to men by the apostles. For with this Church, because of its superior origin, all churches must agree, that is, all the faithful in the whole world. And it is in her that the faithful everywhere have maintained the apostolic tradition. The Martyrdom of Polycarp (155 A.D.): And of the elect, he was one indeed, the wonderful martyr Polycarp, who in our days was an apostolic and prophetic teacher, bishop of the Catholic Church in Smyrna. For every word which came forth from his mouth was fulfilled and will be fulfilled. Ignatius of Antioch (110 A.D.) Let no one do anything of concern to the Church without the bishop. Let that be considered a valid Eucharist which is celebrated by the bishop or by one whom he ordains. Wherever the bishop appears, let the people be there; just as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. Heretics abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our savior, Jesus Christ, Flesh which suffered for our sins, which the Father, in His goodness, raised up again.

No church fathers taught sola fide? Here is a list of some early Church Fathers who taught about justification by faith: 1. Augustine of Hippo (354-430) - Augustine emphasized the role of faith in salvation, teaching that justification was by faith alone apart from works. 2. Ambrose of Milan (c. 340-397) - Ambrose taught that faith in Christ was the means of receiving God's grace and justification. 3. Cyril of Jerusalem (c. 313-386) - Cyril emphasized the importance of faith in Christ for salvation and taught that good works flowed from a genuine faith. 4. Chrysostom (c. 347-407) - John Chrysostom taught that faith in Christ's work on the cross was the foundation of justification and salvation. 5. Basil the Great (c. 329-379) - Basil taught that faith in Christ was essential for justification and stressed the importance of trust in God's saving work. 6. Origen (c. 184-253) - Origen taught that righteousness and justification came through faith in Christ's sacrifice, not through adherence to the Mosaic Law. 7. Clement of Alexandria (c. 150-215) - Clement spoke about the necessity of faith for salvation and the importance of trust in Christ's atoning work.

Nobody denies that initial justification is totally a free gift of God's abundant grace. It's not how we start a race that matters but rather how we finish it. We will be tested and proven worthy of the kingdom of God. If just making a decision for Christ is enough for salvation, then there is really no difference between a believer and an atheist. St Paul said to Timothy "if you command these things, you will save both yourself and your hearers." The elect still have to work out their salvation with fear and trembling for God is at work in them to will and to do for his good pleasure; and that's the undeniable word of God.

You have to personally apply the victory of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ over sin and the devil in your daily battle with evil. Do not be deceived the gospel is full of red lights, warnings and instructions of how to overcome sin which overwise will lead to condemnation and death; for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. Ok so if I’m hearing this correctly, when Paul says we are justified by faith apart from works of the law he MEANS, we are justified by faith ALONE. But when James says we are justified by works and NOT by faith alone he MEANS, we ARE justified by faith ALONE but our faith is VINDICATED by works that are a RESULT of our faith. So, a three step process to get the scriptures to line up with your theology- Step 1: Ignore Peters warning about twisting Paul’s writings Step 2: add words to Pauls text to make it agree with you Step 3: change/and/or redefine the words of James text that disagree with you. Voila! The Bible teaches “Sola Fide” What a sweet system! Obviously just reading the Bible won’t get you to that conclusion but if you follow this easy process it’s a guarantee:)

The principle of exclusion and the medieval understanding of extra ecclesiam by anathematizing the Greeks is in opposition to every semblance to the word "catholic". The faith was handed down once and for all by the Apostles, and thus also the parameters of the faith. When one restricts the faith by adding anathema upon doctrines which aren't deviations from the Faith, or by adding prerequisites to be considered part of the Faith, including the requirement of believing the bodily assumption of Mary, that person can hardly claim the sole title of "catholic".

@@Repent_and_believe_the_gospel The idea of pitting good works (works of love) against the sufficiency of the cross is a Protestant philosophical dilemma, it’s not one found in scripture or tradition. Catholic theology condemns the idea that a person can work their way to heaven. Faith, Hope and Charity (charity being works of love) are necessary for salvation. And according to Saint Paul, “I can have all faith as to move mountains, but if I have not charity, I am nothing”. What we teach is that it is the Holy Spirit, not us in and of ourselves, that works through us (Philippians 2:13) and by our cooperation with grace unto those goods works, we receive the merits attained to us through those good works. This is what Protestants constantly strawman by accusing us of teaching a “works based salvation” which the council of Trent explicitly condemns. The problem is Protestants usually learn “Catholic theology” from other Protestants who learned it from other Protestants and so on. And that’s why Protestants usually know nothing about Catholic theology. Again, what we believe is 100% biblical. We are saved by grace which leads to faith working through love. Not faith ALONE.

They’re not two dueling deposits. It’s sacred scripture and sacred tradition. Both are divinely inspired. If there was no authority to interpret sacred scripture, then the faith would have been lost in the fist few centuries, because people were coming out with their own interpretations. Some believed Jesus was a separate god, similar to the pagan gods, but if the authority of early church hadn’t interpreted the Gospels and letters of the people closest to Christ we’d have a Christian non-denom believing Jesus was a god like Apollo or Zeus. We need an ultimate authority on earth, that’s the Catholic Church. I point all my brothers in Christ to Pints with Aquinas Podcast, or to listen to the full Catholic Answers show.

Catholic answers cherry picks certain scriptures to fit the traditions of the RC church. If you study scripture in it's fullest context, you will see a big difference. In terms of the errors in the early church, Paul takes the heretics to task,, as do the church fathers. You may want to go back and watch this video again. As a former Catholic, and a devout one at that, I see where you are coming from, but 'no cigar"., How you can say that the Catholic church treats both scripture and tradition equally? That's what the RC apologists say, and it's easy to fall for. In these perilous times, I listened to many Catholic podcasts on how to protect yourself from spiritual attack. Not one of them even mentioned reading the bible! Even Bishop Strickland, whom I greatly admire, didn't even mention reading the bible in one of his recent videos on this subject!!! Let's take Mary, the mother of God. Do you really need an authority to interpret the scripture that clearly states that there is only ONE mediator, Christ Jesus, between man and God? Is it really that hard to understand? The scriptures were written years before the institutional church gained power and decided that they would be the ultimate authority in interpreting them. So, what, then, was the purpose for the very people who walked with our Lord, in writing down what He said? Was that all for nothing? The Catholic apologists say that Mary points the way to Jesus. Then why did she instruct the children at Fatima to build a shrine to HER? Why, did I hear trad Catholics give all the glory to Mary, when one of their prayers was answered? No mention of Jesus. None. Why, when I received correspondence from devout Catholics, they would sign off with "In Jesus, through Mary"? Why is Mary considered Mediatrix of all graces? Does God really need her to help Him distribute those graces? I know that Catholic apologists will make reference to the wedding at Cana to justify this. Mike Winger goes into great detail on that one, and even though I like Trent Horn, who likes to refute Mike, again, "no cigar". Gavin Ortlund is also good. Many years ago, before I reverted back to the Catholic church, I used to be a pagan. I used to practice witchcraft. Thank God, I never joined a coven and was not into it as heavily as I could have been. But witchcraft is witchcraft. What do you think the Rosary is? It's very similar to the pagan practices in which we learned to recite certain formulas and/or mantras (the Rosary is a repetitive prayer, much like a mantra) to a God or Goddess to get our intentions answered. And then, there's "contemplative prayer", which is what you do when you meditate on the mysteries of scripture, while praying the Rosary. Won't go into that, here! Look up the similarities between the Goddess Diana, and Mary, the mother of Jesus. If the Catholics appeased the pagans by adopting their traditions to bring them onto the church (think Christmas and Easter), then why wouldn't they do the same regarding the Goddess Diana??? Yes, the Catholic church does recognize both scripture and tradition; but, in reality, tradition trumps scripture. But they won't tell you that. I left the Catholic church for several reasons, but when tradition contradicts scripture, then something is wrong. Very wrong. Thank you for taking the time to read this long post, and may God be with you.

I agree with most of what you say in the long post, but in short response I’d say that for the sacred scripture to be understood and utilized you need a an Authority. Jesus gave this Authority to Peter which has followed papal succession to today. You may not all of what the RC has to say, but the church is made up of broken people. The spirit and faith is what carries the RC church today. The same spirit that lead the early church fathers carries us today. We all fall short to the Glory of God, but with Christ and the help of His church, redemption is possible.

That’s why the church’s authority must be lower than scripture because the physical church is run by fallible people, whereas scripture was written by men inspired by God and is suitable for it is written “all scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

They try to argue that Paul is talking about works of the law but when pressed that what kind of works James is talking about there is no clear answer. Because Byzantium adopted Orthodoxy). If Purgatory is a true thing, then Yeshua did not accomplish his work and therefore, more must be required before full Grace and Redemption. And what is "unconfessed"? Unconfessed as in not spoken to a Priest, or unconfessed as in not given unto the all-knowing, all-powerful being who knows all known and unknown, confessed and unconfessed? If one has truly turned to Christ, then all is confessed, but it is not all confided in a man of the cloth. Unless the man of the Cloth has presumed himself an authority unwarranted, by a power not inherited. To which now he gatekeeps heaven (under the pretense of piety and holiness) from people he considers worthy or unworthy. Intercession with the dead is akin to King Saul reaching out to Samuel after the Prophet's death. If you have to reach out to the dead, forgetting the authority and power granted Yeshua, then you're not just wrong, its blatant heresy. To call it intercession is a misuse of the term in the context of scripture, considering that at no point did the Disciples ever command communication or prayer to the dead. Especially when considering that such an example, as previously stated, did occur. And no, just because one believes in God rather than witchcraft, doesn't make it better or good. And if we need to communicate with others, those who are not divine like Yeshua, then it removes the whole concept of Yeshua as being the only one who has redeemed us to the father, because he explicitly stated that no man comes to the Father except through him. Mary didn't do that. Paul didn't either. Not Peter. Not Bartholomew, not Stephen, the First Martyr, either. They spread the Gospel, but they are neither the author, the Word in Flesh, nor the Redeemer made Manifest. Its not a strawman if there's considerations within the Catholic Church that clearly indicate that Christ's work was not, in fact, sufficient for one to receive grace upon belief and confession of faith.

All you have to do is pretend the bible fell from heaven fully formed... and ignore the process by which an authoritative church gave the books they chose to put into the bible the weight you now take for granted And... for you the circular argument is as Luther's that 'reason' alone is enough to interpret it... which is why there's 10,000's of different Protestant denominations... each basing their church on 'reason alone'

The true, original church was started by Peter in Jerusalem ten days after Jesus ascended into heaven. We know exactly what they taught and believed We even have the book of Romans written to the church in Rome. Romans 5:1 Therefore, being justified by faith we have peace with God. (An 'authoritative church' would not murder millions of people who disagreed with them. )

@@Elizabeth-rk3do So the religious wars of Calvinists against Catholics, Lutherans and Catholics and Calvinists against Anabaptists... what was that? Just so you know... I am what might commonly be called Orthodox Christian, though we also count ourselves as 'catholic' in the sense Ignatios of Antioch used it, rather than as Augustine of Hippo would later use it

@@johnchrysostomon6284 You have no answer to my post. No one tortured and killed people like the Roman Catholic Church. There's a reason they didn't want the Bible translated into the language of the common people. If you were to read your Bible, you would realize how false the Roman Catholic Church is. The true, original church was started by Peter in Jerusalem ten days after Jesus ascended into heaven. We know exactly what they taught and believed. It wasn't what the Roman Catholic Church teaches. Please read your Bible. Eternity is a long time to be wrong.

This guy won’t debate Jimmy Akin from Catholic Answers. You know he is wrong because he talks about Roman Catholic. No such thing as a Roman Catholic. It’s the Catholic Church. Roman is a rite.

@@MagnumLapua338 I don't want to speak for Jeff Durbin but if the debate topic is about Pope Francis, I'm almost certain he'll be happy to debate. Debate topic: Is Pope Francis a Roman Catholic? Yeah, I know it's like asking "is the Pope Catholic?". Can someone who is a Marxist and a communist be a Pope?

@@totobermundo have you read the CCC? Jeff Durban hasn’t and he won’t debate Jimmy Akin on anything Catholic. If you and Jeff read the CCC then you both would realize how wrong your are. There is no such thing as Roman Catholic. So there is no pope for the Roman Catholic Church. Roman is a rite. The pope is for the Catholic Church. God does not contradict himself and you must preach both sides of gods provision and warning. James five explains how a brother can straight from the truth and that he must be brought back so that he does not suffer second death. You cannot cancel out one scripture with another because they work together. If you remain in Him.
