Imagine if in every western country you donate land for the governor next to each town you invest in, that is unheard of. I have listened to both press conferences. In my humble opinion, the governor's explanation makes more sense. Let us separate these two independent issues: (1) Land-use in the county, and (2) Developers in the county. The local government, under the governor, has jurisdiction over land-use in the county, according to the laws of Kenya. The developer who called the press conference with big flags behind him like he was a head of state seems to miss the point that no one is above the law.
