Hello! 2. You don’t need your birth certificate for your Visa process as principal. 1. Fringerprinting is better back home but it can be done in Panama 🇵🇦 at a higher cost. Saludos

My wife and I are US retirees with adequate retirement income, social security, military and private pensions. We're traveling to Costa Rica for the winter, are interested in getting Panamanian temp residency and banking accounts, probably investing in real estate. Would having an LLC make it easier to transfer funds to Panamanian bank? Would there be a limit to how much we can transfer?

Thanks for reaching out! Having an LLC or Corporation can be useful for asset protection and investing wisely. Also the Private Foundation is recommended for succession planning purposes. If instead of an apostille, we choose the option to authenticate at a Panamanian consulate. If we take the original document to them, will they authenticate the original? Do we also need to take a copy of the original and authenticate the copy or the original needs to be authenticated and sent to Panama for immigration purposes? Thanks.

Hello! They authenticate originals signed by someone, if document has no signature then it has to be signed by Notary Public before sending it to the Panama 🇵🇦 consulate
