Hello! I have quite a few videos right now, so I am putting out one a day for the first half of this month, but that probably won't continue past that. I'm sorry to hear you have suffered for your belief in universalism. I hope the people around you see the beauty in it soon! On my part, though, I have not suffered persecution. I am not in the closet about it at all. My name is Steven HAuse. I have no problem with people knowing I believe in Christian universalism.

I appreciate Campbell’s point of view. However, I respectfully disagree. I believe Paul was an explicit universalist and see no place in the scriptures where he promotes annihilation. There is a second death, but there is also a resurrection from that state, and from what I read, Paul’s writings are in line with that position. I would like to hear more from Dr Campbell on this subject, so that we could have a better discussion on the topic.

@@johnkristofftimbal5053 I agree the second death is the lake of fire. And there is a resurrection from that lake when the purification of this third group has been accomplished. The first group to be harvested/resurrected is the barley crop/anointed first fruits, the second group is the wheat/those that are His at His coming, and the last group is the grapes/His former enemies. These three groups are spelled out in the 14th chapter of Revelation. They are also referred to in Leviticus by Moses when he speaks of Israel’s three major feast celebrations, and by Paul in 1 Corinthians15:20-28. It’s one of the most fascinating studies I’ve ever seen.

I confess.....the idea of it being more implicit than explicit bums me out. ☹️. Would have hoped original disciples would have more explicitly known that universalism was the way.

The would have been explicit about it. They were not because they did not believe in Universalism, at least not in the sense that it’s presented now. For them, the only way to redemption was in the Messiah, and clearly taught that there exist people who rejected God and the Messiah, or became apostates, and that there are consequences for such actions

Specifically, I would like to know where in the scriptures Dr Campbell believes that Paul spoke about the annihilation of non-believers as a final outcome. As I said in the previous comment, I don’t believe Paul ever said that, nor even insinuated it.

6:00 I strongly doubt 'all of Israel will be saved' in the sense that Campbell means is true. Paul qualifies what he is saying in the previous chapters, especially chapter 9.

Paul is certainly an explicit universalist. His annihilationism is about destroying the 'old man', a prerequisite to restoration. This is entirely consistent with Jesus' teachings as well as those of John and Peter.
