Thank you for having this man on. I’m a convert from TN also. It’s nice to here someone smart that sounds like me when he talks and talks about Catholicism. It’s not something you come across everyday.

Rod brings an incredible point that might have went over some people’s heads. Not many people know that the Hebraic religion is not foreign to culture and people around the Ancient Near East. A lot of practices found in the five Books of Moses were common practice to the Egyptians, Canaanites, Hittites etc. Essentially God saved the religion of the Ancient Near East and just took out the things there weren’t compatible and kept the things that could be used for His purposes. Always enjoy listening and reading Rod!

I am sure it was Steve Ray who did the Footprints video series, not Dave Armstrong. 😊

There is a Church in Siragusa in Sicily that is built around the remains of a Greek temple. The columns separating the center aisle from the side aisles are massive Doric columns. There is a similar church in Assisi and for all I know there are many more around the Mediterranean world.

Hey Rod, I hope you are well. I am listening to your podcast with K. Albert Little and read your preface of your book "These Twelve". Are you talking about me (the seminarian who walked with you on the beach)? I remember having lots of talks with you in those days, and it was in the middle of my seminary years, but I don't think I would ever say "the apostles were nothing" - was that me or someone else? In all our debates and discussions for 8 years (1996-2004), you never brought that up. It would be nice to know if that is about me. I do remember that you were working on that work, "These Twelve" at the time, and, even before then, if I recall correctly, it was an idea for a play or movie. Also, your comment about "the apostles were nothing" does not explain what the context of that comment was. I don't think I said that. If I did, that that just shows how immature and ignorant I was at that time. I would seem to have quoted Ephesians 2:19-22 if that issue is brought up - "God's household" (the church), "built upon the foundation of the prophets and apostles" (Ephesians 2:20) Also reading your other work, "Four More Witnesses". Sincerely, Ken Temple

You are undoing the miscommunications against the truth.
