Love you guys covering this show! Btw, when I first watched I assumed Mao Mao was more thinking about the fact that love is so powerful it transforms a woman, like Fuyou, so what would it be like in the form of medicine. Also, you should check out the name meanings of each concubine. Fuyou is also the Japanese name for the flower that that represents her, and I believe the names are chosen to sort of be descriptive of each character as well.

All the letters sended from and received in the rear palace are checked, if Fuyou had wrote something compromise she would be behaved for betrayed the emperor, so, they couldn't be planning during her stay, only before... ( We already have some kind of this problems in the LN that I can't give details that's why I know ).
