Why is this series not more popular? I'm genuinely wondering, anybody got any idea? I mean, I thought Kusuriya was easier to consume than Frieren, I think Frieren can only be fully appreciated by more mature audience, people who has a fair share of life experience. This one I think is more approachable to everyone, so how come Frieren got the appreciation it deserves, but not this one?

I think general audience may getting turn off by the Chinese setting and not usual Japanese. IDK. Just opinion. Definitely millions times better than rent girlfriend

i really loved this anime and tried to watch Frieren but idk it was hard to watch? sometimes it’s nice but also boring, i want to try and see Frieren because the animation it’s gorgeous haha

From someone who watch frieren first then this series, the apothecary diaries is a lot heavier in terms of thinking power to snatch the hints the anime laid out rather than frieren which I personally think have better spacing. But that doesn't mean I favor one than the other, I think the two anime is the best in it's own genre, fireren being fantasy and the apothecary diaries being mystery in respect

@@x_andrea_r To me, Frieren is like a calm river, it ripples ever so slightly, but it flows gracefully. The calm surface doesn't make much of a spectacle, like in other show (hence boring to some people), but it serves as a reflections for the viewers. Almost every sentence and every bits of story in Frieren made me contemplates about life, and either regrets or be more appreciative towards the passage of time.

@@muhammaddimasfachriakbar7430 actually this might be true, a few days after I posted this, I asked a friend if he's watching this series, and he immediately turned off and asked me if it's a chinese anime production. So that might be one of the factor.
