I've seen others recommend Magic Sculpt. I thought about trying it when I ran out of the Apoxy sculpt. However I was in the middle of a project and I figured if I ran out of the epoxy it would not be wise to mix the two products on the same model in the same area like a tail? So I have two full 1 lb jars of Apoxy left to use up first. I put a sandwich bag into each jar and smoosh it down on top of the product left in the jar. And put into Ziploc bags. That's kept my Apoxy super good.

I do have trouble getting Apoxy too wet I've switched over to alcohol and that's working so much better than water. So thanks to this review I can see my issue with getting Magic Sculpt too wet before I do! I need to take your two online courses. I don't want to do drastic customization but they would still help for the minimal resculpting mane/tail etc.

I've liked Apoxie so far. But I found my first soft spots recently on a current WIP. That wasn't great. So I dug it out and started on the area again. This is so great to know about Magic Sculpt. I want to try it after I finish the Apoxie I have. Thanks for going so deep into the details and testing so much :)

It don’t matter which one I use I break the legs every time with both lol. I use apoxie to shape the horse and use Magic sculpt for detailing. I’ve literally haven’t gotten nowhere because I just get too rough with it or a wire snaps from adjusting it.

In Korea, Magic Skulft products are highly regarded as putty materials. I also used polymer clay, but after changing to putty, I experienced Magic Skulft and had more fun

Can I use apoxie in a silicone (amazing mold putty) mold that I made? I made a mold of my dog’s nose before I had to say goodbye to her and I’d like to be able to cast something in it, but it’s not deep enough for regular resin.

Yes, absolutely

Apoxie sculpt is crumbly and less stretchy when it gets old, just by a few months. Even some jars I’ve bought brand new were already old when I opened them.
