my three biggest tips for language learning: 1) don't compare urself to others. I know you've probably heard this before, but it's really important to go at the pace that suits you. Don't be discouraged if others are progressing faster than you! As long as you are consistent and working hard, you will be getting better and better faster than you know :) 2) Put effort in and work hard, but don't burn yourself out. This one is pretty self explanatory, but you need to work hard to learn your target language better. Really incorporate the language in your life; listen to music in that language, talk to yourself in the language, etc. BUT, make sure to take breaks when you need to! It's alright to stop for a bit to give your mind a break. There's nothing wrong with a little rest. 3) Switch up your learning methods to keep it interesting! Using the same textbook lessons every single time can get boring, so feel free to use other methods. Translate lyrics, try video lessons, etc. Learn the things that interest you, even if it's not included in your textbook. Cater your learning to your interests; if you love cooking, learn dishes and read recipes in your target language. If you love disney movies, watch disney movies and switch the audio to the language ur learning. Good luck on your journey! It gets really hard, but I will be cheering you on. I've been learning Korean for 3 months now. I believe in you

I find duolingo ins't very good for learning hangul from scratch! They tend to show the hangul letters as syllable blocks rather than the letter themselves. I really recommend watching youtube videos for first learning the letter. When I learnt hangul I used a playlist for learning the hangul alphabet in 30 days by "Korean Unnie". She explains each letter so well, helps with pronunciation and also how to write them. Often she gives a lot of examples of when they're used too so you can see how they're used around other letters and rules. Once you've mastered knowing the sounds individually, the syllable blocks on duolingo will be a lot easier! When I started learning Hangul I started on duolingo and was so confused, now its a lot easier to use duolingo now knowing the letters on their own! I hope this helps

Tips for ✨Hangul✨ First here is the alphabet (Hangul is also ranked to be the worlds easiest alphabet to learn): ㄱ: g (can sometimes sound like ‘k’. It also looks a bit like a gun so I hope that helps) ㄴ: n (looks like a nose) ㄷ: d/t (looks like a door) ㄹ: R/L (looks like a rattlesnake) ㅁ: m (looks like a mouth) ㅂ: b/p (looks like a bucket) ㅅ: s (looks like two legs ‘standing’ up) ㅇ: no sound/ng (this one is a bit harder to explain bc when it’s placed at the start of a word like this: 언니 the little circle wouldn’t make any sound so it will just be ‘unnie’ which means ‘sister’. But when it’s please at the end like this: 강 it will make a ng sound so it be ‘gang’ which means ‘river’. I rlly hope that made sense-) ㅈ: j (no representation-) ㅊ: ch ㅋ: k ㅌ: t (looks like two doors) ㅍ: p (looks like ‘part II’) ㅎ: h (looks like a man in a hat) Next we have vowels: ㅏ: a ㅑ: ya ㅓ: o ㅕ: yo ㅣ: i (ee) ㅗ: oh ㅛ: yoh ㅜ: uh ㅠ: yuh ㅡ: eu Then it’s the vowel combinations: ㅐ: ae ㅒ: yae ㅔ: ae ㅖ: yae ㅘ: wa ㅙ: wae ㅚ: wi ㅝ: wo ㅞ: wae ㅟ: wi ㅢ: ui Next is double consonants: These are all the consonants: ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅈ So the double consonants will look like this: ㄲ: gg/kk ㄸ: dd/tt ㅃ: bb/pp ㅆ: ss ㅉ: jj And that’s it I really hope this helped cause I put so much time into writing this so I can help you and others- Also if I don’t make any sense you should check out Miss Vicky. (That’s what you type in) She does amazing Korean lesson and I learnt Hangul in just an hour after her video and I was able to real Korean! ❤️✨ 사랑해!

Hey! I don’t think that studying hangul with duolingo is a good idea, this app makes you study romanization while you should study the sound of the letters, not their romanization. I think studying with some youtube videos would be a better idea, since they are not testing your abilities to romanize the letter. They are just simply teaching you how to read the alphabet. Quizlet is truly a blessing. That is how I am memorizing hiragana and going to so the same with katakana and some kanji. I also used it when learning Spanish vocab and stuff for school so it really is effective. 'Specially when ya use all of the features like write, listen, match, test, etc. If you make sure to break up the sets into pieces, like Hirigana part 1 and then 2 or something like that, then it will be so much easier to memorize stuff with Quizlet. Also, if you put the different parts into a folder, you can practice them all at once. Just a tip.

One if the best app to learn Chinese is Duchinese, if you know it you should check it out! Basically it’s a kindle kinda app, where everything is written in Chinese characters, you can choose to see the pinyin, and the translation. There is a person reading the story to you so you can hear the right pronunciation and you can save words of vocabulary to work on it later

Oh I hear Maplestory music ^^ currently considering starting to learn Korean. I find that starting is the hardest part. Trying to not overwhelming myself with too many resources, not knowing which to use, trying to figure out a system that works for me, a schedule, etc. So for now I'm mainly watching a lot of ''study with me'' videos to get me motivated and K-dramas to get used to hearing the language. It's hard enough to learn one, you are very impressive trying to learn 4 at the same time. Bonne chance avec tes études :)

For anyone looking for a good translating app/prgrm other than Google Translate for Japanese, I would HIGHLY recommend the *Deepl Translator* . Its great, it translates into natural English and even as an intermediate I use it to help myself out when I can't undertand what a sentence is trying to say and the translation is pretty spot on.

I came ti see french apps but I found out that your chinese is really great! Your intonations are all on spot! (I’m chinese) I am learning Korean too and there is an app called memrise which is great too. But I only learned the very beginning hangul and I didn’t go on because the rest had to be purchased. So I can’t tell if it is good for grammar but it was fun for learning Hangul. It has also mini games so it was interesting :3

i know my comment is late so i don’t know if you’ve already figured it out but for vowels in korean the sound is the same but you just add a y when there’s two bars ex: ㅓ eo ㅕyeo and it’s like that for all vowels! i hope this helps!
