I am Korean. I want to be good at English. But English is too difficult. Actually, I'm using a translator to write this article. English grammar is too hard And in fact, Koreans are not completely good at Korean either. So sometimes people say, "Am I really Korean? I should learn Korean again." So let's be confident and get to know each other's languages!Way to go for it!

I am from Ukraine. So i was leaning English too, and I can say something about it. "Readlang web reader" is for your browser. You can turn it on and click on the world you don't know. You will see it in Korean. On the website you can also see and practice the words you don't know. For grammar I can recommend just thinking what is going on in the sentence. I have some books, but I am not sure about language (either Ukrainian or English everywhere, what is not good for you) Also try not to put high expectations. Learn a bit, and a bit.(I was trying to write it as simple as I can. I'm a bit scared to use translator, because sometimes it gives something wrong 😅) I believe in you. You can do it!

as someone who majors in a programming related course, I can vouch that programming really isn’t something you can learn in a single school year (or more). it’s a gradual process of mastering the foundation and continuous discovery of a language’s features and specialties. Being an instructor right now, I’ve been repeatedly telling my students that the best way to learn programming is simply to practice, the school can only teach you the syntax, you’re the one who still solves the problem. I tend to advice them to solve at least 1-2 programming problems a day (or more if they’re free) and it will comes a time that whatever structure of problem they encounter, they can solve it as easily as breathing. learning Programming is a very challenging but fun process. Good luck and God bless on your programming journey ❤️

I'm amazed at how some people can self-study foreign languages. I tried to do it too at first, but even though I know consistency is the most important part, that's where I struggle the most. So I gave in and paid for online classes. I enjoy it a lot, and even became the Top 1 in our class. ^^ I guess what I'm trying to say is know what learning style you perform best in, instead of forcing yourself and expecting good results because I think learning will only be successful if you enjoy the process. 💌

I’m also learning Korean but what I’ve found that keeps me engaged is don’t treat it like a subject. I don’t use textbooks or study materials, I will use that later down the line. Right now I’m focusing on my listening and speaking skills so I consume a lot of Korean entertainment such as music, variety shows, dramas etc. While I’m not the best at grammar or writing essays I can understand a lot of Korean. To practice reading and speaking I look at song lyrics (even though I’m not very good a singing 😆) this helped me stay motivated to learn.

02:44 I do this!! Last week I was reading Kpop lyrics on Spotify while listening to the songs (I had nothing better to do) and I started recognizing many Hangul characters and sounds. So I started writing my favourite kpop artist's name just for fun because it is so easy once you know the sounds! It's like a little puzzle! Edit: I wasn't planning on seriously taking up studying Korean (because I am already studying French, and Spanish and I wanted to start with Japanese) but your video was so helpful and interesting that I might just start with Korean right away! I love learning languages and just listening to you speak and looking at your notes was so tempting!

@@eshita.agarwal Hi! So, Spanish and French do confuse me because they have the same letter and some words are the same but have different meanings (ex: Nombre which means 'name' in Spanish but 'number' in French) But when the language has different writing systems (Korean/ Japanese/ French) it's not that confusing. What I tend to do is, I learn different sections. Like, if I am doing Japanese vocab today, I'll focus on French grammar today and not vocab to avoid confusion. But experiment with what works best for you and good luck!

I’ve been learning Korean on and off for about a couple of months now. Reading everyone’s comments and seeing that I’m not the only one that started but didn’t continue makes me feel a lot better and a lot more motivated to continue learning. I want to re learn it so that way I can re program my brain to do use when I’m learning. Also watching variety shows help , they help me understand how to form sentences when communicating with a foreigner. Thanks for this I will be starting my studies again.

My first attempt to learning Korean was back in 2010 when I first got into Kpop. While learning Hangul was relatively easy, the grammar rules have always confused me. Over the years, I attempt to learn the language again and again, but drop it after a few days. It was only with this year's attempt that I had actually made significant improvements, because of something my friend said. "Learn languages independently from each other, not as a translation of each other." I turn my English brain off. Put myself in a Korean context. You'd be surprised by the amount of vocabulary buried behind your mind, from years of watching variety shows. The grammar rules come to make sense eventually. The most important thing is to enjoy in learning, take lessons daily even short ones. Slow and steady wins the race. Hoping one day I can speak as fluently as you, Rhea. Thank you for the resources you've shared!

Korean was like the only language I put my heart into. I tried spanish but I got bored of it. Spanish wasnt for me so I dropped that language but some time I will continue it again. Then I found out about korean and was super hyped to learn Korean. I currently on my 4th month of learning Korean but I took a break. This vid is really motivating now. Korean is fun to learn but also sometimes I get stressed out because I realized that I have so many other thing I need to learn. I dont know much about the culture and the food so I'll start researching more. For me I think Korean was the only language I liked to learn so far. Some people might call me crazy when i say this but Comparef to spanish and Korean Korean was like a walk in the park. And it was so exciting to learn it. But theres just to much to learn about. I might not even make it to fluency level but Im just gonna try my best. Korean made so many other languages look even easier lol. I really enjoy Korea and I'd like to travel their some day. Korean is the best. and Thanks for the information and the wonderful vid.

I think one thing about people’s faults in education is many undermine their efforts while also believing they haven’t progressed and are not a better version of themselves than before. It is hard to not feel rewarded or proud of yourself when you still have so much more to learn, but it will always be that way in life. Our world is ever changing and progressing. So stop dreading the fact that you will never know all of it and start with the fact that you have come so far from before. It’s all about mindset and consistency, and I believe in you!! We can learn this together. Even clicking on this video and watching it puts you one step ahead of where you were 20 minutes ago.

I've been trying to learn for 7+ years on and off, I've tried everything, from apps, video's, audio, writing down everything. But I think the reason why I have failed is one, I have no one to test it on, no one to talk to in Korean (yes I even tried those apps where you do but no one is interested in the actual language, it's more like a random flirting awkward conversation. And second, in a way there is no point since there's no one local or even relatively close to my community learning Korean so I couldn't even join a language class if I wanted to. However there was one method that really helped me when I was studying words and pronunciations and that is when you come across a word that you know the meaning to and how it sounds, go to google, type in, Korean to English, and then hit the microphone button and try to say the word until the correct meaning and hangul come out perfectly. It really helps with being able to pronounce clearly instead of saying it wrong and it ends up sounding like something else with a different meaning. I know everyone is against romanization, but after I would figure out the correct way to pronounce it, I would write as closely to how it sounds as I could. I would write the word in 4 rows, Hangul, English, meaning, and then the personal romanization under all of it. My biggest struggle was sentences and the sentence structure. Even if I could memorize a whole sentence, trying to say it, especially a long one would have me stuck. Give me sayings, expressions, and phrases and I'm good to go, anything longer...forget it. It's just too hard to learn a language that you wouldn't even be able to practice or talk to anyone which is the way to keep the language fresh in your memory. I've just given up at this point.

3 years ago, my only goal was to learn how to read and write in korean( which I was able to achieve in 90 minutes thanks to 90 day korean lol) as soon as I learned how to read I opened naver and read every article i could find just to practice my reading speed and pronunciation despite not knowing the meaning of what I was reading I just kept going I even followed as many korean artists I could just to practice reading their posts ( cause theyd put long descriptions on their selfies in korean) but then reading got boring so after a month I decided to learn new words and grammar from ttmik and go billy ( both sources are extremely organized in teaching you from a to z so I highly suggest ttmik and go billy sources) fast forward 3 months later, I officially joined the ksif level 1 way back 2019 and im currently a level 6 in the institute on top of that earlier this year, i have also won 3rd place at the korean speech contest which was honestly a big acheivement for me especially because I never intended to go this far. I'm sad to say I'm still not fluent in the language. there are still many words and expressions I don't know unless I truly focus on studying but I can proudly say I've come a long way and I'm hella comfortable speaking to my teachers and classmates in Korean. It's second nature to me. all this was made possible by one goal which is to progress. my goal is progress, not fluency cause when you aim for fluency, it'll overwhelm you and will show you how far the road is and how much you don't know, so you'll end up subconsciously discouraged. but if you aim for progress, it'll always show you how far you've come! plus I always tell myself language learning is a lifelong process so go easy on yourself and grow as you go. let's keep learning everyone.! education is brain development no matter the age and the benefits you get from educating yourself, especially in languages is UNMATCHED!

와 한국말 너무 자연스러워요 영상 시작하자마자 뭐지? 그냥 한국인 아닌가? 할정도로 너무 자연스러웠어요 저도 외국어 전공자인데 이렇게 자연스럽게 될때까지 얼마나 노력하셨을까 생각하면 너무 멋져보이고 저도 그 경지에 도달하도록 열심히 노력하고 싶어요 👍 역시 파파고 ㅋㅋ 파파고 좋죠

Here are some words i started with! (There are some words i hear often in korean conversations!) "Jinjja" - really? "annyeong" - Hi "annyeonghaseyo" Hello "gam-sa-ham-ni-da" - Thank you "saranghae" - I love you I have learned these by watching the award speeches by kpop idols, their vlive, and from having subtitles on in any kdrama, kpop song, or just anything involving them speaking korean! Although i dont know korean fully at all other than those few words, my goal is to learn it all this year! I hope everyone else here also learns korean, goodluck!

The adjective "fluent" does not have comparative forms. You're either fluent or you're not. You've got/gotten *better at it.

@@enz0w772 its not about how long you study, its abiut how you study. You need to study the way that suits you. If you enjoy reading, you can learn more from novels than videos. If you learn by sound, you can listen to podcasts or videos. The main thing is to learn dialogue. TTMIK is an excellent resource. They also go to very high level Korean so you will never run out of learning material. Learn to write, learn sentence structure, learn vocab from dialogue, and then you will learn quickly.

This video was really motivating to watch. I started studying Korean during the pandemic but I've recently been studying it on and off because of school... I really want to get back into it and this video is encouraging me to start again. I hope I can one day learn it fluently 💖화이팅!!

Advice : learn words in sentences, in context. Obviously it'll be impossible as a complete beginner since you know literally no words. But as you advance learn words in sentences. Also you can use anki as your flashcard app. So you don't need to create physical cards.

I started learning korean subconsciously with kdramas, for me, I could read and write in a day or two and have basic conversations just by imitating native speakers. The problem came when I had to study for an entrance exam, I had never really studied grammar or had practised my spelling. I am currently looking for ways to do so and this video really helped me gain confidence because I cannot afford to pay for content so watching someone who also did it with free resources makes me feel a bit better.
