5 Stack on the AT finished. He's 6'6'" His videos of NH and Maine show that terrain. I think the trail makers are just making sure you get a warm up for fields of boulders and trails of only boulders with some steep grades. You'll make it.

Those big rocks remind me of the Cumberland Plateau.

I was worrying about the huge rocks you had to climb. I think I was just as tired as you were just watching! Treacherous climbs. Stay safe out there 😊

I haven't done much in NY but I've talked to through hikers who have said that it wasn't their favorite state due to all the rocky ups and downs. One never gets that high in elevation but the terrain is pretty difficult ... obviously. The Hudson Valley along the river is really beautiful IMHO because of that topography but it does make the hiking difficult. Good job especially in that grueling heat!

"They're going to make sure we climb every rock on here." Made me laugh out loud. So funny. That was some serious rock and it just kept going relentlessly. The creamery in Belleville was charming and what a view. Good decision to stay at the inn and get out of the heat. You two are really doing great. Take care.

Funny how they call PA 'rocksylvania', but it doesn't seem so bad compared to this area or the trails leading up to the Presidentials 😁 Every day gets you guys that much closer to Katahdin! 🐻🌲

I thought the ups and downs in New York made the Rollercoaster feel like a kiddy ride. Woo Hoo!

“Thank goodness they put rebar in the rock” was an understatement. I don’t see any other way you would have made it safely otherwise Don’t fall/trip neighbor Hike safe.

That was Greenwood Lake you passed on the walk. Derek Jeter just sold his house. There. Was asking $14 million. Settled for $6.3 million. It was great to meet you and Bluegrass last week. Looking forward to watching the rest of your adventure!

Congratulations on completing another state! Rugged rock climbing, you needed a short day. Maybe someone hiked with snow on the ground and couldn't see the blazes so stacked rocks.

The heat been brutal lately but it’s going to get better when you hit Massachusetts the Berkshires have some elevation as well as Vermont New Hampshire and Maine… The locals in those states will say it won’t but us southerners will feel the difference … Keep on trucking…
