Canadian daughter of a mountain family from Quebec. It would take some time speaking of the family. But the one thing that keeps me intrigued, is that accent. Daddy's accent was that of French Canadian. I still hear Daddy's adding the books up and his way of saying zero, as knot. He was a runaway kid who found his calling in the Canadian Forces of WW2 and straight into the Korean War. When he made it through both conflicts. His massive figure blacked out the daylight. Granddad hit the floor in shock that the runaway boy wasn't KIA but he was now a man. Daddy was massive in his height 6' 10 and his bones were no longer showing through his skin. He had come back home to let his father know that he will never lay his hands on Granny.. Daddy would only return to Quebec 5 times.One time to show his family that was growing 2nd time was with us all. And then the last 3 times were to say goodbye to his father mother and his baby brother who was born disfigured and mentally challenged. The only way he could tell he was raising good children was how we treated our uncle Richard. He would go on to fund a hospital facility for the disabled, No one had any idea of who was doing it. But one of those children, his youngest daughter a tomboy. He knew that young girl was going to grow up and continue his life of caring for his little brother through the others who would need someone ❤ RIP Daddy Granny Grandpa and Uncle Richard 😢😢😢😢

Hello JD! So many missing people that have never been found in the Smokey Mountains, but a young girl with her whole life yet to live gone in the blink of an eye. As many other students around her didn’t see anything, strange. When it comes to your child it’s devastating not to have the answers of what happened and no proper burial. I never let my children go on a field trip without me volunteering as a room mother or following the bus to the destination. Mind you I had my reasons for being so protective of my children. My brother was kidnapped when he was 4 years old from our yard when we lived in Chicago in the early 70’s. Yes, it traumatized me and thankfully he was found by a police officer downtown wandering around because the kidnapper got spooked and let him go. But I will never forget the fear in my mother’s eyes and the police came and took my mother away. I didn’t know they were just taking her to pickup my brother. I was so young and terrified for my brother and now my mother was gone, that’s why I was never going to let my children go somewhere without me. Good stories and keeping their memories alive. Have a blessed weekend JD and everyone!

Ok, first, Mr. JD, you are phenomenal with narrating these stories. You have a great way of pulling people into each story that you tell. For me, at least, the way you can describe the Appalachia Mountains, the scents, the weather, the sounds, and the scenery; I feel like I’m there, and I can smell, see, hear, and feel everything. That’s a marvelous talent, and I am so grateful that I was recommended to view your channel by KZbin. I grew up in Chicago, and my family only traveled to park grounds, where we would gather wood, create a great fire, have supper, and sleep in the RV for the night. We visited the Meramec Caves, which was spectacular in every aspect to a young girl’s imagination (yep..me), then visited Daniel Boone’s home in Missouri, and we were asked to leave after my younger sister fainted, and broke the bannister. We went through Arkansas, Mississippi, and up to Tennessee, because my mom had ALWAYS wanted to visit GraceLand! Of course, we went up through Kentucky, Indiana and visited the Indiana Dunes, then back to Chicago. It was the last and only time that we all went out traveling. Thanks to my lovely sister, who was purposely failing her classes, we missed out on going on another road trip. I missed out on going to Canada to participate in a music competition against other high school students, and I was going to play the drums, and I was practicing every single day before classes started, during my study and lunch breaks and when I got home. I was scheduled to play the intro to the tv show “Hogan’s Heroes,” which I was going to perform the drum for it. So, I got the punishment of having to clean, do laundry, iron laundry, cut the grass, pick up dog waste, and help cook dinner. My darling sister was able to spend the summer vacation with her friends, because she had to go to summer school. Oops, sorry, Mr. JD, some memories come front and center when I’m commenting on a video. I do think that Trenny met with foul play. She may have hitchhiked to get back to school, because she probably knew that the bus left without her. I think that whomever picked her up by the highway had pretty awful intentions. The dogs followed her scent to the highway, then nothing. This could be where Trenny was picked up. I do hope that she’s resting peacefully. Now, Claude and Sue Sheldon’s disappearances, I believe, can be solved. I think that I read, somewhere, that NASA has a super powerful satellite that can find a dime, on a street, from space. I think that if the police contacts NASA for help with looking at the Laurel Lake to see IF their car is in it. What I don’t get is why on earth would they leave, possibly, at 2:30 am to get snacks and something to drink?! I know that this may sound silly, but were Claude and Sue talking in “code” about having some intimate “fun” in the car, and the car accidentally rolled into the lake? Here’s what I don’t get: why would they want to leave their kids, to go and have some “car fun,” at 2:30 am when Claude had to be at work at 6:00 am?? The case of poor little Kelly Holland is heartbreaking, tragic and strange. His mom, Judy, allowed him to go outside, with a light jacket for over 5 hours! Why did she not call Kelly in for lunch, or even some hot chocolate? Why did she not tell him to go inside while she called her sister? Then she noticed that he wasn’t outside, where he was supposed to be, and didn’t immediately go to the neighbor’s house, again, to call 911? How could the parents LIE to Judy about being charged to call 911?! I NEVER heard anything like that in my life. I think they had something to do with him disappearing. The lie with being “charged less after midnight” is a red flag, them acting annoyed when Judy was banging on their door asking to use their phone to call 911 is another red flag, they weren’t even concerned about THEIR GRANDSON disappearing is another red flag, and not doing anything to help find him is the last red flag! May Kelly rest peacefully in paradise. As for the grandma, I think she just wanted to start a new life. Maybe she answered some lonely heart ad, or maybe even the other way around with her placing the ad and a man answered. She was a woman, and a woman has needs, and that’s all I’m going to say about this case. Well, I’m off to bed. I’ve got a lot that I must get done, and I’ve got to wake up in 3 hours. Have a pleasant night, and stay warm!!

It hit DC too, and my husband couldn't get home for our 5th anniversary. Our older baby had his first asthma attack that day, and I had to give him my asthma inhaler, by slapping him on the back, and scaring him, so he'd have a sharp intake of breath, while pushing down on the inhaler, a few times. We had another storm right after. His mother would be the person who knows something.

I totally agree. He shouldn't have been out to start with. But I wonder about the mom and sister. The mom had already lost all of her kids except Kelly because no one who should know about him had any idea he existed. Why was she so bent on keeping him a secret so she didn't lose custody? She wasn't the type to do ANYTHING for her kids, and she didn't. I'm suspicious of her and her sister more than anyone else. But there are definitely more people who could have had something to do with his disappearance. I would like to think someone took him to give him a good life. I seriously doubt it, but that would be wonderful. It's definitely happens. And I wouldn't think any less of the person because he needed to be in another family. She was just as ignorant as she could be and didn't care to be any other way.

Concerning Claude and his wife, as a possible reason for leaving at 2:30 am, it seems possible that they just wanted a private place for sex. Place with thin walls and all those children would have been very un- private for sex. Seems possible that they went out for quick car-sex, and were planning a quick return. They would have trusted the 11 year old with the smaller children. Images of road construction show more than one place for a driver to make a mistake and end up in that lake. At a depth of 200+ feet, that lake could keep a car hidden for 50 years.

The woman that let her son out to play in the snow for five hours…. Needs some jail time.

That's a fact, she should have been charged for not reporting it until eleven hours later, the excuse that her neighbor wouldn't let her use the phone is ridiculous. She had other neighbors and I would not be above grabbing the phone and using it anyway, not in case like that.

Trenny’s case is so frustrating!!! I do not think she left of her own accord.
@redtobertshateshandles2 ай бұрын
It was a kidnapping by the stalker her mother shot and his family. There's a huge conspiracy surrounding this kidnapping. When you have eliminated the impossible, what remains, however improbable is the truth.
@MummyBrown25 күн бұрын
@@redtobertshateshandlesThe Missing Enigma covered this story more recently and there is much more evidence to suggest that her “best friend,” that Simpson boy, is more suspicious than the young man that was accused of stalking her. There is even more to substantiate that her family was extremely strict and that she was seeing that young man secretly. The day that he’d been shot, it was when he was sneaking out of her window for a consensual rendezvous. This was the 70’s in Appalachia, and the young man was a man of color. Her family was purportedly ridiculously religious and, as a result, extremely strict. Watch The Missing Enigma’s episode on this case and it’ll blow your hair back. There is a lot more to this story that isn’t typically discussed.

@@dturner1160 One thing confused me. It said in the video that it was Friday when they went to the parents house and Claude took the afternoon off, saying he'd make up the time Saturday morning. But the neighbour and some newspaper reports showed that they went missing early hours of Friday. Another newspaper said Saturday Which is it? But yes, I agree... couple vanishes in car, body of water nearby, sounds like a job for Jared!!

Having lost her other children, if foul play was not involved, I suspect that mother didn't want to call police thinking when the little boy was found, he would be taken from her as well.

1 story: I believe one the male students did something to teen. 2 story: parent met with foul play. But fact the car was never recovered is puzzling. 3 story: the trifling mother definitely did something child. Who leaves small child unsupervised for 8-10 hours. She fed herself dinner but didn’t check on him. Why did she wait to call 911. What human tells a desperate mom to wait until later call 911!!
