The little pony was turning for you to rub farther down its back. The Back to the base of the tail usually likes to be rubbed and scratched on most animals because they can't get at it. We used to have Goofy Newfies and they would maneuver under a hand to get their back scratched. Another nice video. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

Howdy LS! So glad you r enjoying the ponies! A special place in Va! My wife and I are from Va, she from Waynesboro (coming up for ya) and we lived in the western Allegheny highlands near the WVA line when first married. Loved it and those mts are very remote and wild. You would enjoy them as well! Looking forward to your hike thru our wonderful state!

Can you explain to me the lure of slack packing? I would think you would benefit from a zero. A rest during a 2100 mile hike is good for the body. Not hating, just saying.
