Are you cold soaking or cooking on a stove? No bear spray for grizzly territory? Bear hang supplies? Not going to cut your nails the whole trip? No Ice axe or micro spikes? I feel like a lot was left out…

Oh neat, we were on the OCT at the same time! Really curious to see how you managed with all the logistics. I stopped at the hiker camp first day and thought 23 miles on day one was pretty good, so it's wild to me you did 40 miles with those two mountains in the way.

You missed the wildest part of the OCT by roadwalking. Blacklock Point is amazing.
@slowlife21582 ай бұрын
Right? It’s good for her to play it safe, especially if a high river would cauae the FKT attempt to fail. But dang, that section is so gorgeous. Floras lake, blacklock, the old growth driftwood walls on these beaches, the rivers, the pelicans, the lighthouses, … oh well. It makes a grest section hike so I guess she could always come back and just do that part.
@blueandgreenslacksАй бұрын
This is why I think FKT’s are kinda dumb.
@Fireweed108Ай бұрын
She could have avoided crossing the Sixes River and still have gone to Blacklock Pt. Then taken the Pt. Oxford. Airport rd over to the highway.

Oh it looks like England at this time of year 🌧⛈🌦🌧🌧🌦 🌧‼ But brings back memorys of Spain long down hill bike ride off top of pyranees could'nt see a thing in the driving rain constantly sprayed by 16 wheelers and a failed front brake so could'nt have stopped if I wanted to and by long I mean 30 min just hang on to the white line 🚵♂🛣 Feet look good in the circumstance 🤩😍🐾 Great view 3:23 & so glad you reached your destination🙂 Anon 😁💖🤗

The complete quote from Churchill was, “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat.” We mustn't forget the toil. I'm glad you're taking us along on this hike. It's certainly not one I'd do for myself.

Nice video. Did you notice the RVs at 03:00? That is why you never buy an RV, only rent. They are poorly constructed. A conversion van is nice and can be good enough. It sounds like you need more vitamins and minerals. I have to take potassium and magnesium or I will get leg cramps at night. Magnesium is supposed to help reduce pains too. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

Another fun OCT section and video. Tunnel was interesting section. Appreciate your privacy concern. Mitigated our privacy issue with a Purple Rain skirt and dress, for both men and women. Thanks for sharing another chapter in your OCT chronicle.

For how money the Oregon State Park system takes in, their trail maintenance is an embarrassment to our state. I did the northern half of the OCT two summers ago, and I began to dread the trail sections after just a couple of days.
