As this video came to a close, my heart was racing. I felt as though I had hiked this with you. I was claustrophobic, as you squeezed through the various rock formations and I got dizzy when you were standing on the rock outcroppings. I think this is what a good video is supposed to do, put you right in the middle of the action. Of all of the videos I have watched, and I have watched many, this is the best at showing why thru hiking is such a challenge. Way to go Red Beard, Will Wood. (By the Way, I have a young red headed boy here in Poland who I think you need to give an autographed picture to!)

Rotty N' Scotty I'll be honest, what scared me about this is that there could be snakes under those rocks. One thing is to look for them on the path in front of me and another to spot them when you crawl through a tiny cave. God I hate snakes. I think I will rather walk Te Araroa in New Zealand. No serpents there.

Hi Will. Looks as if one could get lost on the trail. What if snow is covered the trail at some point and/or at some points one can't see where the trail leads? That is the ONLY thing stopping me from making the 2,000 mile hike...I don't suppose you are going to make the hike again and take me with you next time will you? :)
@rottynscotty94119 жыл бұрын
Aaron Keely There are lots of markers that keep you on the trail, and sometimes you do end up off trail, but generally you can get back on pretty easily. It's definitely worth the risk of getting lost.

Unbelievable. You would think they, the trailblazers or whoever, would have somehow cleared out a few of those narrow passages and big rocks. The possibility of an injury, looks very high through there. It's not for the marginally strong and healthy. It also looks barely marked, as indicated at about 5:50 where the partner goes gets lost briefly..
