I get that kind of negative comment about once a month. I did have a "you'll never make it to Santiago" this year, to which I replied "I was there two weeks ago". Shut that guy up good LMAO -- As to head lamps, on the Camino in recent years that had been nearly every night, though I found in 2024 that people were generally more considerate. I like Will's hiker beard !!

Good morning to you both! Thanks for brightening my day. 😉 You both do exceedingly well with filming. The moss and trail are absolutely beautiful. Sunshine you have the best mom ever. Not every mom would think of extra special pink hats and delicious 😋 treats. Love the hats! ❤ Enjoy your family time and Captain your Hike with your dad. Happy Trails! 🚶 🏕 🍳 🔥 😊 🙏

Understood the travel itinerary with Captain, totally understood about the headlamp. Never ever ever do that in a camp. So rude and inconsiderate. Speaking of rude, you're 60 year old dude was the stupid idiot, not you. Love, love, love your hats. Also see that Will grew a beard. I'm already getting sad because your end of the trail is coming near. I embrace you and Captain everyday. Love you sunshine, love you captain, Nan

I think that I would have instantly laughed in that rude man’s face! I mean, look how far you have come, compared to how far you have left to go! He really put his foot in his mouth with that idiotic comment…😂 I fuel my determination with my desire to prove naysayers wrong! Laugh, and then say “Just watch me!”!

Honestly, I encountered a similar situation at a Rustic campsite. The new arrivals were sooo rude. You specifically choose to camp without any electricity or running water and toilets to experience the rural night and it seemed to be brighter than NYC.

That was a rude comment! I agree with you about missing your spouse while thru hiking! I watched 2 male hikers that met on the trail. They just climbed Mt Kathadin. Both were married, had kids and grandkids. One male's wife would come every couple months to see him. The other hiker's wife never came to visit him even though he always talked about how much he missed his family. I always felt so bad for the one hiker when the other wife would come visit her husband! I thought maybe she will show up for the big event at Katahdin but she didn't!

I get it... Not an ideal situation, but at the same time... It's really not up to anyone to tell anyone not to use their head lamps .. in the dark.... It's a safety issue... They could trip 6:18 over guy lines.... And saying they shouldn't be able to talk at all and be in total silence.... I think this point of view is very self aggrandizing... Telling people how to or not sleep w their food ... It's not your job... I love the channel, but you are speaking from privilege on a very supported hike....
@WorldTowning
@WorldTowning 4 күн бұрын
We can agree to disagree. Someone should not be hiking after dark if they cannot be respectful of others who are sleeping and it is past hiking midnight. Of course sometimes it is unavoidable and I get that. sleeping with food is inconsiderate of those around you and endangers them. If people want to do that and keep their lights on bright they should camp alone. Actually not sure how privilege plays into this. Privilege in hiking is not being respectful of others and their level of comfort. I am far from that.

Well I guess I spoke too soon about not giving negative comments on section hikes 🤷‍♀️. Not all rude people are section hikers. By the way - Who gives a rat on what the Guy said . We who have been following you and Captain know better. Just keep hiking your own hike all the way to Mount Katahdin ⛰️. (Beth)
