Happy New Year! I just happened upon this tonight. So excited to see you my friend!🥰 I was really hoping that you would buy a mushroom ornament, AT, but I don't think you would have had two or three people fighting over that 😅. As far as being in the theater, perhaps if they had put a few faux trees around you might have felt better but being in an enclosed space with that many people, it's just not a part of you anymore. Truth be told I'm not a big Disney fan either and I've never even seen Star Wars. But oh my God green tea Kit Kats! My Japanese girlfriend used to bring them back for me when she went home. Love them! Oh my god, all those people at night at Disneyland. I would have lost it. Oh man, look at Largo's hair! Wow, it's so damn short now! Awe, there's Century! This is hilarious, Largo in pajamas. I think he should have had them on the trail. Oh geez, prepackaged food from the trail. God I still remember those meals you guys used to eat. Happy New Year !! I get anxiety attacks in indoor crowds too, and it has became more intense after my very long and mostly solitary Caminos, particularly after my 2005 from home. Was cool to watch Largo growing into young manhood on the AT, and an interesting contrast to see (from our perspective that is) what seems to be Avalon's more "sudden" womanhood compared to a year + ago. I guess there must be a coastal hiking route from Miami up to Saint Augustine's in Jacksonville which is the "official" congregation point for Caminos starting in the US.

I am an RN and am on my feet 13 + hours a shift. I stopped wearing compression socks two years ago. I also have been wearing yoga toes for 40 minutes at night before I go to bed. I started wearing them a month ago. My feet are seldom sore.

It's great that you and your son are doing this together. I wish I could get my son to go with me. I'm starting my hike in March/April 2026. I'm researching and planning.

I hope you had an amazing adventure, but I did think it odd to put a camera in the face of your sick child.

That stopping to feel and capture, you are good at both capturing and putting it into words! Additionally, how beautiful that you are taking what you captured and are creatively building a merge and new for the days ahead! Admirable! Thank you for sharing. I heard you guys on Mighty Blue's podcast this past week and started watching your AT thru hike. Y'all are very interesting. I am seeing you put up your tent in this episode at 15:54. What size Big Agnes do you have. My wife and I have one. Is that a 3 person? How did it do for you on the trail? Especially how did finding space for the bigger tent go? I am looking forward to watching most of your hike, even though you are finished.
