Kelly Hays of Kelly Hays hikes had to leave the AT for emergency surgery, she rejoined her friends and summited Katahdin then made up I believe 300 miles. She had to make up miles on the Florida trail because some idiot was making death threats. She is currently finishing the CDT. She is worth a watch. Captain, when you went through the Lehigh Gap you were above a small airport, Slatington, just a bit to the south on the Lehigh. My husband would fly his piper pacer out of that airport and skim between the mountains. And I made a jump out of that plane. Good times.

Woo hoo! Extra VLOGs! Wow! Almost all caught up with your mileage. I have been following Mosey. She has come into her own. She also mentioned you in her VLOG. Sunshine, "Thank you" for all the information you have been passing in the last view VLOGs. Between you and Captain, Mosey, Ranger (Beer in Beautiful Places), Maynard (Maynard Hikes), Captain Jack and Sara (Sara Hikes a lot), I have learned so much about prepping and hiking the AT. I'd be remiss if I did not mention "5 Stack" and Dixie (Homemade Wanderlust). The past 8 months of reading, viewing, emailing and even the mini-hikes I have taken, have inspired me to plan for an AT thru hike in 2025. So the next questions are when to start? NOBO? SOBO? Only time will tell. Thanks for the VLOGs! I'm hooked!

Will miss you guys but totally understand. It’s interesting how well you guys have been sleeping in the tent lately .. I wonder why ? I know an AT hiker from 2023 Beer in Beautiful Places that did exactly what you did 80 miles in VT and she said it was very hard to go do those miles ,,, and many did not ,, but she did it … She accomplished her goal and I think she talked about whether she should have skipped them in one of her later shows but I can’t remember exactly her take away … I think she felt for herself she needed to do it . And she did not say she found it pleasant ,, it was more like torture. Rebound on the Application Trail was attempting the thru hike for the THIRD TIME ! This year ,,, this year she got stuck at the same spot in I think In Gorham … she went to Katadin and summited and hiked back to Gorham ,,, but her take away was definitely not positive for the entire ordeal .
