I understand the moodiness. My brother has been in hospice since Friday and I had been there since Saturday till yesterday when I came home to spend time with my family. With it being 2 hrs away I'm staying in the area. I just needed a break. I'm watching your videos to catch up while I get ready to go back. I called it my zero day. If you guys don't already maybe get some packets of biofreeze for captains knees. You can try it to sunshine but it might break you out. It really helps with joint aches and inflammation.

Wow, I have been following you and your family since the Camino in Spain, walking the AT with your son as through hikers is incredible. I want you to know becuse I followed your families Camino Frances, I myself went on the pilgrimage last October. I found the pilgrimage most rewarding and a great way to start off my retirement, I do remember as you came to the end of the Way feeling sad that I would no longer join in with you and your childrens refrain each morning about aches and pains. I wish you the very best, hopefully you will come up with a plan for the presidential range in the White Mountains in New Hampshire and the beginning of the trail in Maine. Think about logistics as far as dropping packs and hiking sections especially if you are unable to secure reservations at the hut systems in the Whites , best of luck and I will be following.

You are doing great, yes people have bad days. I watch about 5 2024 hikers online. Some have already dropped off for lots of reasons. That end of the bus comment is new to me. Somebody has to be at the end of the bus. At least you are on the bus.

Unfortunate to hear that the Black Diamond trekking poles are not holding up well to serious hiking needs. Perhaps more suited to hobbyist or light hiking. I have a pair I've had for years, and they've held up, but they're not used that heavily...I most often use my hiking staff. I much prefer using a staff...have a 58" long staff made of iron bamboo; strong and stiff as hardwood hickory but much lighter in weight.

SUNSHINE -- THE NEXT TIME YOU COLOR YOUR HAIR, LEAVE THE DYE IN YOUR HAIR MUCH LONGER. SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN WEARING YOUR WET PINK COOLING TOWEL ON YOUR HEAD IT HAD FADED FAST. IT SUCKS THE PINK RIGHT OUT. I DID MINE LAST NIGHT AND WASHED THE DYE OUT THIS AFTERNOON. MINE IS PURPLE... MORE LIKE A BLUE PURPLE THAN A VIOLET. I WANT TO MAKE SURE I AM GETTING MY MONIES WORTH
