Loved the music in this one. I know I’ve recommended Lord Huron’s Yawning Grave to you. Their entire Strange Trails album just seems to be a hiking trail soundtrack. Hubs and I always listen to it on our way north to our Allegheny National Forest adventures.

Hey Man, just watched this one where you were talking about the Whites. Yes, it gets cold in the summer. One time, it was 41 overnight. I wasn’t ready for it and I’m a hammock camper too. Shivering the whole night with the slightest breeze. Just an FYI. Also, get ready for rocky trails when you get into NH and ME. Sorry.

Holy crap. Doormat’s brother must have an insanely high pain tolerance. I’m usually giving fentanyl to my Pt’s with that break and even then that just takes the edge off. I can’t imagine hiking with that injury!

What glue did you use to glue your insole down? I bought aftermarket insoles for my Men's Nova 2 GORE-TEX, but the right insole keeps moving while walking.

Mine is the standard size from liteAF. It's good for four full days of through hiker food. It could probably hold five to six normal days of normal weekend backpacker food

You can always go to Harper's Ferry another time (with your girlfriend) for a weekend after you finish AT. Then you can do your 4 state challenge.

Hoping for a follow up here. The Femur is a very big bone and usually needs a lot of force for breaking it fully.

Clean break. We saw the x-rays. His tendons and muscles swelled up so much it held the femur in place. It was quite amazing.

The way the weather been here in NH, keeping that 30 degree is a good call! We have been averaging 10 degree below normal this spring. Few years back backpacking in July, we woke to 30 degrees near South Twin. Great videos man!

Apparently the tendons and muscles around the bone had been so inflamed it was actually holding his femur in place allowing him to keep walking but he had an extreme limp. Doctors were really really confused until his x-rays came out

@@ElkDogAdVANturesLynn first timer yes, but lots of experience hiking since 2014. Still a great accomplishment either way. NOPE is so quirky and fun and Frozen is too serious at times and seems to be too much focus on BIG MILES whereas, Baskets, Garden State and Nope just do the big miles and don't emphasize it. But, as they say, Hike Your Hike.

They've also done many many many more miles than me. Baskets has hiked the AT multiple times and nope is a triple crowner. I am not a serious person, people just take me seriously.
