Ingredients:
soaking time - 2 hours
Fermentation time - 6 to 7 hours
Raw rice - 2 cups
Idli rice - 2 cups
urad dhal - 1/2 cup
Sago - 1/2 cup
coconut scrapped - Handful
Aval - 1/4 cup
Fenugreek - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste

அருமையாக வந்தது.நான் எப்போதும் 1 பச்சரிசி 1புழுங்கள் அரிசி கைப்பிடி சாதம் 1 ஸ்பூன் உளுந்து சிறிது வெந்தயம் சிறிது தேங்காய் அரைத்து 7 -8 மணிநேரம் புளிக்கவிட்டு உ ஊத்துவேன்.நல்லா வரும்.அரிசி 5மணிநேரம் ஊற வேண்டும்.நீங்கள் சொன்னது போல் செய்தேன் நன்றாக வந்தது.என் பேரன்(8வயது)எது செஞ்சாலும் பெரிய பொட்டு வச்ச பாட்டி சொன்னது போல் செஞ்சிங்களா என்று கேட்பான்.

Tried your appam recipe mam. Prepared in cast iron kadai and it came like a bowl . It was very tasty.tried your no onion no garlic vellai kurma as sidedish for appam. It was so quick to prepare. I used jeeragam instead of sombu in vellai kurma. It came out so well. Thank u so much amma.

Appam .. coconut dosa 2 cup Dosa rice,. 2 cup idli rice, 1/2 cup urddal, 1/2 cup sabudana, 1/4 cup Aval , 1/2 cup coconut 1 tsp methi, 2 tsp channa dal Soak together for grinding ..thick smooth batter... Ferment it 👍

Oru doubt odave Appam Nalla varumannu bayanthukitte seithen but it was awesome. Romba Nalla irunthathu nanri. Cooking soda add pannama, sathana ennasatileye Nalla soft ah side la crispy ah super ah irunthathu. Romba romba romba nanri mam.

Tried this recipe several times ma. Always comes out beautifully well. Have prepared paniyarams also with leftover batter. I usually pair it with ur no onion no garlic vellai kurma or thengai paal with vellam. Thanks a lot amma

Thank you madam for Recipe This looks like dosa. I am from Sri Lanka. We also made "Appa" it's called in English "hoppers" We making it , using rice flour, coconut milk, little sugar, coconut water. Pinch of baking soda. (Appa soda) All ingredients mixing and keep it for 3-4 hours well prepared Become air bubbles. After that make hoppers using like this hopper pan , The middle is soft, the round is crispy one . This and Sri lankan hoppers looking different. Anyway thank you for recipe and I will try your method. Have a nice weekend.

I have also seen people adding pathaneer(fresh palm juice) while grinding the batter. Aappam comes porous and study the next day. No need to add cooking soda

3 சந்தேகம் எனக்கு.. 1.சாமான்களை எவ்வளவு நேரம் ஊற வைக்கணும் 2. அரைத்த மாவை எவ்வளவு நேரம் புளிக்க வைக்கணும். 3. 1கப் அளவு என்றால் எவ்வளவு கிராம் கணக்கு?ஒவ்வொரு கப் அளவும் வேறு வேறாக இருக்கிறது

வணக்கம். இப்போது தான் அரைத்து எடுத்தேன். நீங்கள் சொன்ன அதே அளவுகள் போட்டு 3 மணி நேரம் ஊறவைத்து அரைத்தேன். ஜவ்வரிசி சரியாக அரைபடவில்லை. மற்ற சாமான்கள் நன்றாக அரைபட்டிருக்கின்றன. ஏன் என்று தெரியவில்லை. என்ன செய்வது?
