Okay, so. I posted my Delta Force from you (love it btw) on a large UK Facebook Anthurium group 5/6 months ago because she is gorgeous and the person/drama you are referencing originated on my post when someone mentioned it was TC despite the person showing through various emojis how much she loved the plant up until that point which I pointed out was a little weird at the time... because it's still the same plant. I had to stop engaging with her and wished her well because it was turning pretty toxic and she wouldn't listen to anyone and just kept raging for hours, I was receiving all the notifications and it was stressing me and my 'tism out so I can only imagine how it's made you feel. Her argument then came down to somaclonal variation and questioning the validity and integrity of the plant and essentially you and your business which you have every right to protect as you've done nothing wrong. Then I saw the youtube and instagram videos this person made which were, in my opinion, slanderous against you and the business and based on a lack of understanding and unwillingness to listen to others (both videos were deleted this morning after you posted your video yesterday). I felt bad for you then and I do now. I was just trying to show how gorgeous my plant was, which I love and is growing amazingly with your feed. I didn't know it would create so much drama and I feel terrible that you've had to experience this. As an aside, my Delta is pushing up its first inflo AND a new leaf at the same time and the sizing up is dramatic too ❤🌈

I'm 0% into tattoos but my best friend is training as a tattoo artist at the moment and she told me the exact same thing, the vast majority of tattoo designs are lifted off the Internet not only because it's easy but also because this is what most customers want. I've trained in graphic design for a while and it was the exact same thing, only a few people were capable and motivated enough to make original work but you had to expect it to be turned down by the customer because most of them saw something on the Internet and wanted you to reproduce it or make something extremely similar. It takes a lot of work to develop your own style but making people interested in it is something else... It must be crushing for artists who are capable of so much more to keep being asked for ''cute butterfly'', ''Hello Kitty'' and ''infinity loop with my children's names in it''.
@XLightChanX5 ай бұрын
and pre-internet there were tattoo magazines with the designs etc. haha some artists get really famous (and expensive) with a unique style but it's rare an artist here does wanna dos where she draws up stuff and offers it to anyone who wants it (and only tattoos each design once), but a lot of ppl are happy with the pinterest design anyway

Yes you do have little plantlets that grow and you may have a few people that divide their plant but for the most part if you’re buying something that’s popular it was generated in a lab via tc culture and it is the exact same plant as the original mother plant. Not sure if it's true, but someone in the U.S. plant community who typically has a good read on things said they knew of a couple TC labs that are currently sitting on THOUSANDS of Delta Force plants. Even Doctor Block mentioned in an interview a couple years ago that he knew some Thai and Indonesian labs were tissue culturing Delta Force. Give it a few more years; once the value drops enough (prices are already coming down fast), they'll flood the market just like Thai Constellation.

So I am a molecular biologist and also a certified horticulturist... Here are my two cents: Unless Ree Gardens trademarked the first generation delta, any cross of any two mother plants will produce similar genetic results and I am okay with a seller stating "this crossed with plant A and plant B and therefore it is a delta." And here is why.... As you stated, mutations can happen regardless of propogation method and therefore, any delta from tissue culture may have slightly mutated and thus different from the Ree delta. Gene expression plays into this heavily. Tissue culture will be cell to cell identical, but the expressions of the genes may be different. Think of it in dog terms: a bloodhound X foxhound = redbone. That's the standard. So all future bloodhound/foxhound crosses are redbones. Some will look different obviously, but the breed is what it is because the first rule of genetics is to spread the genes apart. The foundation stock will need some variance. I believe DF won't be around for long if we are just tissue culturing the 5hit out of it. It will need to have genetic variability to some extent, i.e. breeding with a different set of Anthurium clarinervium X pedatoradiatum.

Who is this youtuber who’s trying to discredit you? THEY just lost their credibility because they don’t seem to know what tissue culture is or the def of “fake”. Who knows then if they actually know what they’re talking about.

If they ever give you a bit of their thoughts... PLEASE share as to why the hell they actually think you sell fake plants.

It takes 2 seconds to look up the plants you sell from other sellers. They are clearly identical, and are hella expensive everywhere. People are just happy being ignorant and waking up choosing violence. They get mad at ghosts and ideas in their own head. It's like a girl getting mad at her irl boyfriend because he cheated on her in her dream.
